The Best Places To Grab A Bite At The University Of Arizona

The culture at the University of Arizona is amazing and there is so much to discover. One of the important parts of social life and life in general over here is the on campus eating options. There’s so much to choose from so we narrowed it down to the ten best restaurants on campus that are absolute must-trys!

1. Gentle Ben’s Brewing

When thinking of the University of Arizona, Gentle Ben’s is one of the first places that comes to mind. Not only is the food amazing, but so is the atmosphere. If you’re 21 and over this will definitely be one of your favorite spots to have a drink and grab a bite with friends.

If you aren’t really into the party scene then you might want to avoid Gentle Ben’s from Thursday to Sunday because there’s a 100 percent guarantee it’ll be packed. Obviously a place that is always packed  with people means that the food and the drinks are amazing.

If you love classic bar food and an amazing atmosphere to go along with it then Gentle Ben’s is the place for you!

2. No Anchovies

This is another fan favorite over here at the University of Arizona, and how could it not be? It’s the best pizza joint on campus! This is another place that stays crowded all the time and they also have a great nightlife scene for the weekends. You can get delicious pizza either by the slice or by whole and it’s literally to die for!

No Anchovies does have delicious food, but the bar is just as amazing. So if you’re looking for a relaxed and casual joint to have a drink or grab some pizza this is the spot for you. Also if you love to party and be on the social scene be sure to check out No Anchovies Thursday through Saturday nights.

3. Frog & Firkin

Frog & Firkin is another very popular pick at the University of Arizona. Their main focus is bar food, but they pretty much have everything under the sun from specialty fries to steak dinners and burger to die for this will hit the spot no matter what you’re in the mood for.

The appeal of Frog & Firkin is that it’s designed after a British pub so it really gives a different feel than the other restaurants down university. They also specialize in craft beers and have an amazing drink selection for everyone who’s over 21.

This is another restaurant that always stays fairly crowded especially on game days and weekends. It’s definitely a fun atmosphere to be in and a great eat!

4. Fuku Sushi

Okay finally something on the list that’s a little bit more low-key! Fuku Sushi is the place to get sushi down here at the University of Arizona. It’s still close to everything and walkable from anywhere on campus but it’s not quite as in the mix as the numbers one, two, and three on the list.

Fuku Sushi is a fun and relaxed atmosphere and they have a lot of specialty rolls that you can’t get anywhere else too! The sushi is amazing and the dining experience is relaxed and fun so it’s definitely a place you’ll want to check out with friends.

5. Illegal Pete’s

Ok so right back to all the places that are always full of people, Illegal Pete’s just had to be on the list. This is another place that tends to stay crowded at all times. If you’re looking for the type of food menu they have it would be an upscale version of chipotle. They are known for their massive burritos and they definitely live up to the hype!

They also have an amazing bar and nightlife if that’s what you’re looking for when you want to grab a bite to eat. It’s always a fun vibe with delicious food when you come to Illegal Pete’s, it’s a favorite at the University of Arizona.

6. Bacio Italiano

For all my Italian lovers you have to try Bacio Italiano at the University of Arizona. From salads, to pastas, to pizzas everything is delicious and gourmet. The atmosphere is relaxed but still has more of an upscale feel if you’re looking to feel a little bit fancy while remaining on campus.

If you ever have a craving for super yummy Italian this should definitely be your first choice!

7. The Dutch Eatery & Refuge

We have one word; brunch! Okay the Dutch Eatery & Refuge is delicious at all hours of the day but trust when we tell you this is the place to brunch on campus. Even if you just want a delicious breakfast then this is the spot!

There’s really nothing else to say besides the breakfast food is bomb especially with a mimosa. The place itself is super cute and aesthetic too, you’ll for sure get an adorable Instagram story when you go to The Dutch.

8. Pelio Grill Greek Taverna And Catering

If you’re anything like me then sometimes you just get this intense craving for Greek food. Greek food almost feels like a rarity because there’s not that many restaurants that specialize in it, but good thing that Pelio Grill Greek Taverna And Catering is here to satisfy your cravings!

Pelio Grill does Greek food the best and they never miss, so if you’re ever craving it this is the spot to go on campus!

9. Kabarbeque

Just like Greek food, Indian food seems like something that’s hard to encounter. It’s also something that has to be cooked just right and Kabarbeque at the University of Arizona does it perfectly! It’s a relaxed and casual Indian food joint with everything you could ever crave!

10. Scented Leaf

How could we not include Scented Leaf on our list? Although it may not be your first choice to grab food, it’s definitely the first choice when you need a refreshing pick me up. It also seems like it’s one of the most popular places to study on campus along with Starbucks of course.

Scented leaf is always packed with people wanting specialty drinks or a quick pastry to take on the go. It’s also going to be unlikely that you’ll be able to find a table since they will most likely be filled with people who want to study inside.

Either way Scented Leaf is a staple at the University of Arizona and you should definitely come check it out!
