Venice Beach

The boardwalk lies right on the beach, with street performers and artists showcasing their talents for the public. Stroll along the boardwalk and take in all Venice has to offer. Stop by the famous skate park and watch some of the best do their thing, and when you’re done, head down to the beach and get your tan on. There’s plenty of restaurants and bars around if you get hungry or want to grab a drink, but you could be perfectly content with spending the day next to the water. There’s never a shortage of things to do at Venice Beach, so make sure you stop by the next time you’re in LA!

Santa Monica Beach

Adjacent to Venice Beach is Santa Monica beach. This is another tourist hotspot, and for good reason. The famous Santa Monica Pier is the highlight of this beach for many, offering food, rides, and entertainment. A fitness lover’s playground (a.k.a. “Muscle Beach”) is right next door, so you can get your daily dose of exercise in if you’d like. Other than the actual beach itself — which is stunning — the Third Street Promenade is just blocks away, perfect to shop and eat at after an afternoon spent in the sun. Santa Monica is known for it’s eclectic characters and beachy vibes; there’s never a dull moment, and always something to look at. El Matador Beach

If you’re in LA but want to escape the hustle and bustle of the city life, El Matador Beach might be the perfect place for you. Steep steps atop a cliff lead to the beach itself, already setting an aesthetically pleasing landscape. The beach is a great place to explore, with dozens of rock formations jutting out from the sand, as well as caves, nooks, and crannies for you to nestle up in.
