Some people have orgasms easily and others haven’t been able to orgasm at all. When it comes to having an orgasm, it’s important to listen to your body and figure out what may be stopping it. Here are 10 surprising reasons you can’t orgasm.
1. Alcohol consumption
Ever wonder why your one night stand after a long night of drinking can’t get you off??? Well alcohol does a lot of negative things, including kill your nerves and sexual pleasure.
2. There isn’t consistent rhythm or stroke
If you and your partner are continuously switching positions, it is easier for you to lose that build up. The more of a rhythm your partner has with his stroke, the better the chance you will have an orgasm.
3. You may have a physical disorder like Anorgasmia
Over 20% of women have been diagnosed with Anorgasmia which is a fancy term for not being able to orgasm. There are numerous factors that come into play, so definitely check it out.
4. You didn’t pee before sex
There is nothing worse than having sex when you have to pee. Your body naturally tightens up and won’t allow you to orgasm when your bladder needs to be released.
5. You’re distracted
Maybe it’s the tv on in front of you or a million thoughts running through your head, but getting distracted can really kill your vibe. Before you have sex, make sure you relax your mind so you can be fully present.
6. Not understanding what makes you orgasm
So many people don’t understand the orgasm and the female body. Not all women can have an orgasm just from penetration. The clitoris is the most important aspect of the women’s anatomy when it comes to orgasms. If your clit has been neglected, this could definitely be the reason for not having and orgasm.
7. Not enough foreplay
This goes hand-in-hand with understanding your body. If you aren’t getting enough foreplay and attention on your clit, then you’re going to have a difficult time having an orgasm.
8. You may need lube
Over 40% of women need lube and more than half of them don’t realize it. There is nothing wrong with needing a little extra lube to help make things go smoothly and feel the best for both of you.
9. High stress levels
If you have had a tough day at work or something is really stressing you out, you most likely will struggle with orgasming.
10. Medications you may be on
There are certain medications that can make sex really difficult. Whether it is drying you out, killing your sex drive, or causing other side effects, it is important to check the side effects that come with your meds!
