10 Studying Snacks That Will Make Those Late Nights Tolerable

Cramming for your next exam? Maybe you’re starting on that 3,500-word essay that’s due the following day? Whatever the case, these 10 studying snacks will help you get through those late nights. I should also mention that this isn’t necessarily a list featuring the healthiest snacks in the world. Regardless, your stomach will thank me later!

Pizza.

Who doesn’t love pizza? No matter if you’re ordering from your favorite restaurant or cooking your own, pizza is always a decent choice for any study group. I personally love stuffed crust pizza! It may not be the healthiest choice in the world, but you can’t deny how delicious it is.

Popcorn.

Again I have to ask the question, who doesn’t like popcorn? With so many flavors and brands out there, you’re bound to find one that pleases your taste buds. Just be sure not to get any popcorn kernels stuck in your teeth!

Chips.

Not necessarily in the mood for popcorn? Try out your favorite bag of chips! Salt & Vinegar are my usual choice but choose whatever floats your boat. Just be sure you’re not purchasing 95% air and 5% actual chips. Actually, I’m not sure how you would avoid that nowadays but they’re still a delicious snack choice!

Cookies.

Another classic standby, cookies combined with milk are always a great combo! A personal favorite of mine would have to be vanilla wafers. If you don’t feel like being basic like me, you can always select from the 500 variations of Oreos. There are countless options out there so pick your favorite and munch away!

Candy.

Perhaps you have a sweet tooth? Chow down on your favorite bag of candy while you cram for that 8am test! Just be sure not to overdo it with the sugar! Then again…you are reading a list about late night unhealthy snacks.

Ice Cream.

Is your room literally on fire and you can’t concentrate? Cool down with another great study snack such as ice cream! Whether you’re eating a huge tub of ice cream or a few popsicles, you’ll cool off in no time.

Fruits.

My conscious is telling me to add at least one healthy option. Whenever I do step outside of my comfort zone and eat healthily, apples are usually my goto fruit of choice. No matter your fruit of choice, you’ll also enjoy an energy boost while studying!

Microwaveable Snacks.

Honestly… I survived many semesters by eating hot pockets. Microwaveable snacks such as pizza rolls and burritos kept me alive for most of my college career. Not only do they require no time and effort to prepare but they’re also really tasty at 3am specifically.

Snack Cakes.

This pretty much includes anything under the Little Debbie brand. Destroying an entire box of these baked goods leaves you with a strange mixture of shame and satisfaction. Again, when you’re vision is blurry from attempting to finish that assignment that due in a few hours, you don’t always make rational decisions.

Soda.

Umm, I’m not sure if I’m cheating here, but with the gallons of soda I drink, it might as well be considered a snack. Once again, this isn’t a list of the healthiest snacks so don’t expect to shed any pounds. Anyway, the amount of soda I consumed throughout my college life must have astronomical. Not saying that you should follow my lead, but whatever your soda of choice is, you’ll definitely satisfy those tastebuds! Coke and Sprite are my usual standbys when it comes to soda but maybe you’re more adventurous. Just… don’t follow in my footsteps and drink an entire twelve case in one night.
