As the years go by you may forget of the note worthy songs you listen to years before. If so, here are some great throw back songs that will make you binge listen to afterwards! Just remember to not get caught up in the music too much!
1. King Of Anything – Sara Bareilles
This is one of those songs that you forget about, but once it comes on, you can’t help but dance and sing along! This was the best song back in 2010 and although it was probably over played, 9 years later it is still a gem to listen to! This song is one one of those that you looked out the window and sang in your head while a pretend camera was taping you or where you would turn up the volume to feel the groove and the sass from this great hit!
2. Airplanes – B.o.B (Featuring Hayley Williams)
If you have heard of this song and haven’t belted it in the car, you are listening to this song all wrong! You can’t go wrong with this duo that slayed the scene back in 2010. It is one of those songs that you can’t skip over in the playlist! You probably sang this song with a friend while you were doing homework or on the bus on the way home from school. This is a great song to try to rap to and sing to at the same time.
3. Never Gonna Be Alone – Nickelback
Nickleback is one of those bands that never get old. They give so much emotion that you can’t help but feel in your soul when you listen to them. The hurt and happiness they sing to all of their listeners just make you want to sit and listen (or maybe nodding your head too!).
This is a song that you can close your eyes too and let the music take over. When that beat drops and Nickelback is the only thing singing, it makes you want to belt it out! All of their songs are gems but this song is one of their best!
4. Animal – Neon Trees
This mega hit by Neon Trees is one of their best! This hit is one that will never get old when you are having the time of your life on the town. When you hear those claps at the beginning of the song, you’ll remember that pleasure you go from hearing this song for the 10th time of repeat while driving around!
This is a great song to belt to no one and to dance with others! The build up to the chorus will make anyone who isn’t already dancing, get up on their feet and jump until the end of the song!
5. Her Diamonds – Rob Thomas
You won’t help but sing to this song when it comes on! You may have forgot about it, but it’ll still give you the feelings it did so long ago. It’s one of those songs that makes your leg tap once you hear the clacks in the very beginning of the song. Once you hear those, you know you will be in a roller coaster of emotions while the song plays of almost 5 minute. This is such an emotional head banging song that you can help but get immersed into it!
6. Grenade – Bruno Mars
Never mind the meaning of the song, this is such a power house song with Bruno’s feelings tearing up everyone’s hearts! This was the climax of Bruno Mars’ career and this is one of the songs that made everyone’s feelings erupt into a pile of nothing because of the last 20 seconds of this song. we all wish 2010 Bruno Mars could come back to us and serenade us with his hits one more time.
You can’t resist the longing in his voice as soon as the first verse is over. It is such a great hit that even though it was over played that year, you could listen to it now and thank him for this amazing hit!
7. Billionaire – Travie McCoy (Featuring Bruno Mars)
Everyone can relate to this song in so many different ways that no matter how long you’ve gone without listening to this song, you can still relate. Travie is great in this song and should always be known for his work with Bruno Mars.
The first words that come out of Bruno mars’ mouth, everyone can agree, are the most relatable thing ever! Overall this is a great song to just listen to. It has the music that you can just bop your head to.
8. Use Somebody – Kings Of Leon
Maybe it’s the way the singer from Kings of Leon says “use” in the song, but this is a great one to listen to by yourself and sing along to. It’s not a hard song to sing along to and the build ups can make you love the song even more than before.
The guitar solo will make you want to play the air guitar and act like you can play and the end just makes you want to more by the time it’s done. Listening to this song will make you feel like you missed nothing and went back to 2010! This is just a song that you can appreciate no matter what year you listen to it!
9. The Only Exception – Paramore
The year 2010 was the best year for Paramore. You may have first heard this song and related so much so that you cried a little or thought about how well this song was put together that you couldn’t help but sing along. It is a lovely song that you can softly listen to will doing homework or laying in bed. It’s just as great now as it was in 2010.
10. My Chick Bad – Ludacris (Featuring Nicki Minaj)
You may not remember this hit song from when you were in middle school, but this song was THE song to play at dances and was probably one of the first songs you listened to that was more than a little risky to play in front of the parents. Nicki Minaj is a great addition to this song and none of the other songs can beat this hit!
