Graduation Hairstyles To Wear To Your Ceremony That Are Simple And Classy

Your graduation ceremony is the time to finally relax and appreciate how far you have come, and for those that have thankfully made it through the hard part, now is the time to start planning on what you are going to wear to your graduation! Remember, this is the night where all of your family members will show up with their phones and maybe even professional cameras to take a million photos of you to commemorate your moment! You’re going to want to look your absolute best. Starting with the hair. Here are some classy but easy hairstyles ideas to wear to your own graduation ceremony!

Pulled-Back Braid

Quick, easy, and overall elegant! And the best part? Your cap won’t mess it up!  All you need to do to accomplish this look is take two thick strands of hair, braid them behind your head, and get a clip to keep that braid in place! For those of you that aren’t the best at braiding, no worries. This braid doesn’t need to be as tight as a coil. If it is looser than you’d like, it won’t affect the overall look. A loose braid is just as classy as a tight one.

The Low Wavy Ponytail

This hairstyle is perfect for your graduation ceremony if you’re looking to add a bit of flair to your hair. After using your curler to give yourself those infamous beachy waves, pull your hair back into a low ponytail. Pulling your waves back instead of leaving them out will keep your hair contained and classy, as well as ensure that your hair won’t get into your face as you walk to get your diploma!

A Loose Bun

If you are wanting to truly not have to worry about your hair during your graduation ceremony, try putting your hair in a low, loose bun. It is probably the easiest hairstyle that will be on this list, and anyone can do it! Short hair or long hair, as long as you know how to twist your hair into a cute little ball, then you are golden!

Flat And Straight

Speaking of short hair, if you are lucky enough to be rocking a short-do at the time of graduation, then there’s no need to fret over what you should do with your hair. Feel free to keep it simple. Just grab your straightening iron and go to town. The beauty of short hair is that there is far less of a chance of it getting in your face as you amble around your graduation ceremony saying goodbye to teachers and friends.

Pulled-Back Curls

If you are really looking to style your hair with curls for your graduation ceremony, do yourself a favor and keep them away from your face, and don’t go too overboard with them! Remember, you’re going to be wearing a cap. You don’t want them your curls to be crushed! Curling my hair is probably one of my favorite things to do with it, but for graduation, don’t make your curls too large and in charge or you’re going to have trouble fitting your cap on over them.

Keep them relatively small. Don’t worry, no matter the size of your curls, they will still look classy. But if you do wanna strive for large and bouncy curls, don’t be too discouraged by the cap and go for it. While for most of the ceremony your cap will be on, the second you’re told to toss it into the air, let them loose!

Barrette Pin Side Up

If you want to add your own personal accessory to your hair for graduation, then this is the hairstyle for you! The last thing you need during your ceremony is all of your hair in your face, but having a couple strands flow around here and there will frame your face in the best way possible. To ensure that, only pin up one side of your hair! To add some extra glam, try using a shiny glittery barrette!

Half Up Half Down

A half up and half down hairstyle never fails to be classy, but adding a ribbon to the matter is a whole different level of cuteness and fun. Accessories can add a whole new level of style to your hair and make you stand out among the sea of students wearing the same exact thing. Add a little flair to your hair by choosing a ribbon with color that will compliment your own graduation robe!

Sleek Braids

This hairstyle is absolutely perfect to wear to your graduation ceremony. Sleek, pulled back braids are classy and a simple idea that looks great in execution. I have stressed a lot that certain hairstyles will do better than others due to the cap you’ll be wearing at your graduation ceremony, and that is mainly because of how long that cap will be stuck on your head. Graduation ceremonies can take what feel like years, so having a hairstyle that is cute but comfortable will ensure that you aren’t spending the whole night tugging and pulling at your cap and trying to fix your hair.

Hollywood Curls

Want to feel like a famous actress at your graduation ceremony? Then this is the hairstyle for you! To accomplish this look, you will need to grab your curling iron and some sectioning clips to get that wavy, clean S look. It may be harder than it sounds, but simply place a clip in the middle of your curl while it is still cooling and you should be all set! This hairstyle will be perfect for any graduation pictures you take and should stay in place all throughout the night. You deserve to not have to worry about the condition or look of your hair when you have worked so hard to get to where you are! This is one of our favorite hairstyles!
