10 Rooftop Patios To Drink At In Toronto

We can all breathe a sigh of relief because it is finally patio season in Toronto! This city is in no short supply of patios, but when you’re flocking outside for some afternoon drinks in the sun, why not check out a rooftop patio? Not only can you get your drink on, but you can do so while taking in a spectacular view of the city. Here are ten of the best rooftop patios to drink at in Toronto.

1. Hemingway’s

142 Cumberland St.

Hemingway’s has been a Toronto favourite for years. They don’t just have one patio. They don’t just have two patios. They have four patios, three of which are rooftop patios (which, by the way, are open all-year round.) This New Zealand-style pub offers 24 different beers on tap, and a variety of themed trivia nights throughout the year.

2. The Porch

250 Adelaide St. W.

The Porch is nestled on top of the Rock ‘N’ Horse Saloon, the only country bar in Toronto where you can channel your inner cowgirl and ride a mechanical bull. Though this rooftop patio has an excelent view of the CN Tower, The Porch is best known for their take on the Bulldog (which for those of you who don’t know, it’s a margarita mixed with Corona.) They make this signature cocktail so Instagrammable by serving it in a cute bucket with fresh watermelon slice as a garnish.

3. The Rooftop at The Broadview Hotel

106 Broadview Ave.

Over in Toronto’s east end lies the historic Broadview Hotel. What once housed renowned strip club, Jilly’s, on their ground floor now houses one of the most stunning rooftop patios in the city. With a clear, unobstructed view of Toronto’s city skyline and the Don River Valley, this is the perfect place to go for after work drinks (that’s not right in the downtown core!) Be sure to check out the stairwells to see murals depicting the hotel’s history.

4. The Pilot

22 Cumberland St.

Though you have to climb up a few flights of steep stairs, The Pilot’s aptly named “The Flight Deck” rooftop patio is absolutely worth it. Even though it’s steps away from Yonge and Bloor St. – one of the  busiest intersections in downtown Toronto – it feels like you’re miles out of the city. With their retractable roof and heating lamps, you can crack a cold one at this rooftop patio during any season.

80 Blue Jays Way

This rooftop patio not only offers one of the most Instagram-worthy backgrounds for your feed, but also gives you one of the most breathtaking panoramic views of the downtown core (which comes as no surprise, since it’s on the 44th floor glamorous Bisha hotel!) If you’re looking for a place to have a bougie and boozy brunch with your girlfriends, look no further than Kōst.

What makes this patio so unique is its rooftop pool! But, keep in mind that swimming in it will cost you extra. 10. Drake Sky Yard

1150 Queen St. W.

If you’re looking for a rooftop patio that’s not in Toronto’s downtown core, venture down Queen West to the Drake Hotel. This is the perfect place to go to before a night out on the town, as there are several trendy bars in the west end that are worth checking out.
