10 Products Every Curly Girl Needs

Every curly girl needs a great product to tame their curls and get the bomb style that they deserve! But hey, not all of us want our curls tamed somewhat for them to be voluminous and luscious. Are you tired of looking in the mirror and wondering what I will do with this? Well, here are 10 products we girls with curls need.

1. Denman Brush

Who said curls weren’t classy enough! I cannot stress this enough this brush is absolutely amazing. The Denman brush is designed specifically for curly hair and works well for those with wavy ringlets. It defines your curls, providing a perfect amount of sass and sophistication. While it excels at making you look good, you also feel good knowing you are looking your best with its help. Last but certainly not least, the Denman brush is a worthy opponent when faced with those less than pleasant tangles. Detangle me, please!

2. Silk Hair Ties

Silk hair ties are just far superior! Am I right? It prevents frizziness and reduces thinning and breakage. That’s simply phenomenal when it comes to taking the necessary precautions for healthy hair. Not only does it help some damages, but it also doesn’t create that annoying crease like a traditional hair tie does. Silk scrunchies are the ultimate hair accessory for pineapples, elegant buns, a simple ponytail, etc. There friction-free, and there’s no tugging, pulling, or tearing of your curly crown.

3. Microfiber Towels or Old T-shirt

Curly girls deserve a product that makes their lives easier this product does just that! Please do not use your regular run-of-the-mill bath towel when drying your hair! All it does is create frizz and snags. No one likes breakage, and when it comes to preventative measures, a microfiber towel or just an old t-shirt is your best friend. Their super absorbent qualities don’t have the dessert drying effect the traditional towels do. Likewise, it takes your hair less time to actually dry. And let’s not forget about the good old plopping method!

4. Heat Cap

Why didn’t I know this sooner? Heat caps for deep conditioning are flawless for oil treatments and sealing in moisture. If you suffer from dry, brittle hair, this is the best product for you or simply if you want to keep your stands appropriately moisturized. The heat cap promotes shine, and the heat helps open your hair follicles to allow deeper penetration. Don’t let me even get started about scalp circulation that promotes your curls’ overall health and growth!

5. Satin Pillowcase

This beauty product works its magic while you sleep. Sleeping on a satin pillowcase has impressive benefits that eliminate friction and keep your favorite style longer. Fewer tangles, hydration, and beautiful glowing hair are what you’ll achieve with this product. Who wouldn’t want that? And a plus is it helps your skin by stopping wrinkles!

6. Diffuser

Diffusers are excellent for a shorter drying time, and it also creates volume in all the right places without disturbing your curls. Moreover, diffusers are also great to clump your curls and set and hold their shape, whereas a traditional nozzle can ruin your style. I know, it is pretty brilliant! It mimics air drying without all the fuss.

7.  The Mane Choice Crystal Orchid Gel

Try it, and you’ll love it! This hair gel defines curls beautifully. It leaves your hair bouncy and shiny with a nice fluffy appearance. This is perfect for you if you’re looking for a more mature wash n go style! This styling gel also has lovely ingredients enriched with Biotin and Vitamin D to promote hair growth, retention, and thicker strands. I don’t know about you, but it’s a good bargain for me.

8. Castor Oil

Castor oil is not only for dietary consumption; it boosts hair growth while also giving it luster. It has antibacterial and antifungal properties, making it great for itchy scalp and scalp infections. This oil is highly effective and aids in scalp circulation. Not only that, but it balances the PH of the scalp. It strengthens the hair and would be a must-buy for any curl type. Also, when buying castor oil, you want to make sure it is the only name on the ingredients list to ensure that it is in its purest form. You would mostly find this on the supplement section of any grocery store listed as a dietary supplement. I find that the purest options usually are there.

9. Rose Water

I can’t believe it’s not water but rose water! What’s the excitement about, you ask. Well, rose water is exceptionally hydrating, and with a bit of glycerin, it attracts moisture. We often neglect our scalp while treating the stands. It reduces oiliness and treats scalp issues like dandruff and dry scalp to combat this. This product also prevents hair loss. Not to mention it has a pleasant light perfumed aroma. It protects your precious locks while repairing them. This hair care product is unbelievable with all its benefits! I personally get the heritage brand with glycerin, and it is lovely!

10. Aloe Vera Juice

This hair product is heaven-sent! Aloe vera juice has multiple uses, from pre-poos, leave-ins, and moisturizers, you name it. This is a top choice when wanting to let your curls thrive and look effortless. This product would put even your shampoo to shame as it is a magnificent cleanser for the scalp. Aloe vera could definitely be a part of your daily routine. Not only that, but it scores points for making dull, lifeless curls full and healthy. Besides, who wouldn’t want a one-stop-shop for all your curly girl problems? Also, spraying aloe vera directly to the scalp repairs and soothes it while adding extra nutrients to lengthen and soften the hair shaft.

Curly girls need to stick together! How have you nourished those curly girl stands, and are there any products you’d recommend? Let us know in the comments, and remember to be bold, be you, and be beautifully curly!
