Our Favorite Low-Carb Party Snacks Everyone Will Love

Now is the best time of your young adult life to go out and socialize, meet new people, throw great parties and just love life! However, it is also the time where you start to realize you don’t have that three cokes, a bag of Cheetos and a Big Mac metabolism that you did back in high school. There are hundreds of diet fads and products that people swear to but are hard to stick to at parties. We found a few low-carb party snacks that you could serve up on your next bash so you and your guests are eatin’ good and staying healthy at the same time! No day-after diet-cheat shame!

1. Fruit Plate Buffet

It’s good to start with the basics. No matter what kind of party or get-together is being held, everyone loves a colorful, fresh fruit plate! If you want to stay on the low-carb vibe, try to stick with different kinds of berries or grapes. Watermelon is also a good one. Fruits that have more water in them help you feel full longer!

2. Veggie Platter with Brie

This is a great, simple way to kick up some flavor. Brie is an elegant, delicious cheese (that tastes even better baked) to bring some class and good looks to your platters. Put it in the middle surrounded by all different sorts of cut vegetables to make another great low-carb plate!

3. Buffalo Chicken Dip Fondue

Ugh, just saying those words makes our mouths water. If you’ve ever heard of buffalo chicken dip, which any American should have, then this one will be extremely easy for you. 4 cups of boiled, shredded chicken, 1 cup of Ranch dressing, 1-2 cups of Frank’s Red Hot Sauce, 1.5 cups of shredded Cheddar cheese, and 16 oz. of cream cheese mixed together and thrown in a Fondue pot. It is so delicious and so easy to make. This is one of those low-carb party snacks that is sure to keep your guests talking about how awesome of a chef you are.

4. Seasoned Chicken Skewers

Chicken skewers are possibly one of the easiest low-carb party snacks you can make. We’d say they’re about a step above a fruit plate in difficulty. All you do is take cooked, seasoned chicken. Then you skewer them and set them out neatly with either Buffalo or Bleu Cheese dip or really whatever your heart desires. It’s good to put out multiple dip options for your guests, just make sure you stick with low-carb, low-fat options.

5. Baked Squash/Zucchini Chips

Believe it or not, this is a personal recipe from one of our interns! You’ll need a few squash and zucchini to cut into small pieces like you would a cucumber. Spread them out on a cookie sheet and drizzle them lightly with olive oil. Pop them in the oven at 350 degrees for about 7 minutes. Pull them out to add some salt and pepper, and gently sprinkle some mozzarella cheese all over them. Slide them back in the oven until the cheese on top is melted (but not fried/burnt) and viola! One of the most delicious, unique, low-carb party snacks to date!

6. Cauliflower Crust Calzones

It’s surprising how many people don’t know about cauliflower crust! It is the answer to a dieter’s prayers! If you are one of those super ambitious chefs, you can make your own cauliflower crust, but we personally recommend getting some at the grocery store for these low-carb party snacks. If you know the ins and outs of a calzone, you can create anything! Bake a plain cheese calzone, pepperoni and cheese, spinach and feta, etc. It’s tasty, light, and ridiculously easy.
