Every few months it seems that Netflix shows are binged and purged from our screens before we get to watch everything that we had our eyes on. This month, make sure you add these popular choices to your watch list. Here are 10 Netflix Shows To Look Forward To This Year.

1. It Takes Two (January 1st)

Take yourself back to when Mary-Kate and Ashley were literally EVERYWHERE. I was a huuuge Mary-Kate and Ashley fan so this is a great childhood throwback. This Netflix show takes the typical plot of twins that were separated at birth and then run into each other later in life.

2. American Gangster (January 16th)

This is one of many Netflix shows that allow you to channel your inner badass. American Gangster portrays the life of master criminal Frank Lucas and his drug smuggling missions. If the action and adventure were not enough to draw you in, the film stars Denzel Washington.


3. How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days (January 1st)

This is a classic chick flick that will never get old, Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey star as a writer and ad executive respectively. She has to write a piece about how to get a guy to dump you in just over a week. In order for him to land a coveted ad campaign, he has to get a woman to fall in love with you in the same amount of time. Let the games begin.

4. Travelers

Another sci fi show that will keep you on the edge of your seat is Travelers. People from the future are sent back in time to the 21st century and have their consciousness implanted into people who are about to die. Once they are in the current time, they must work with their team to change the historical record of catastrophic events that eventually leads to the Earth’s demise in the future.

5. The Addams Family (January 1st)

Even though this Netflix show is a bit older, there is no excuse for why you have not seen it. The Addams Family portray a satirical inversion to the typical American family.


6. A Series of Unfortunate Events – Season 3 (January 1st)

There are so many Netflix shows out today that are based on successful book series’. If you have read the several books in the A Series of Unfortunate Events series then you definitely want to check out the series.

7. Black Mirror (2019)

If you are looking for a Netflix show that will completely mindfuck you, Black Mirror is definitely the one. The episodes profile the effects of new technology as they are integrated into everyday human life. With four seasons and a full length movie already available online you have tons to catch up on before the fifth season premieres later this year.

8. The Incredibles 2 (January 30)

Your childhood self will love you for picking this Netflix show. When The Incredibles 2 hit theatres this summer the audience was full of adults dying to find out what happened to the Incredible family after the first film.

9. Marvel: The Punisher – Season 2 (2019)

This is a Netflix show that puts an unexpected twist on the modern superhero tale. The Punisher is an ‘anti hero’, who commits several crimes including murder. But when his family is killed he will stop at nothing to find out who did it to exact his revenge.

10. Friends From College – Season 2 (January 11th)

This is one of many Netflix shows that will take you back to what many consider the best years of your life.. college. This show follows a group of friends who graduated from Harvard University as they try to keep their relationship intact through marriages, cheating, divorces, and more.
