Makeup Products You Need In Your Life

Since it’s summertime and we all want to look our best for Hot Girl Summer, clearly you are going to want some makeup to help you feel as hot as you are! Luckily enough for you, I’ve compiled a list of makeup products to fill your bag with that you’ll obsess over.

1. Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Finishing Powder

Charlotte Tilbury is quickly emerging as one of my absolute all-time fave makeup brands out there right now. Having your makeup stay on all day and night is next to impossible with the amount of sweat and other factors that may make your foundation wear off. This finishing powder is something you can carry in your bag as a little touchup, but also something you are going to want to use in your daily makeup routine. It comes in a myriad of shades (I use tan in the summer to match my skin tone) and provides a sheen of color and coverage that lasts all night. It’s also a good amount of product, which is rare with higher-end brands like this.

2. Kosas Face Oil Comfy Skin Tint

I saw this makeup product on TikTok and also saw that it had a Best of Beauty award from Allure, so you know it’s legit. Use this face oil, which is literally a tinted face oil that can be used as a light coverage foundation or primer, and find your skin looking smooth and flawless. Most primers don’t have a tint to them, so using one that’s your shade only adds to the light, full coverage look we all crave in the summer. Since you probably don’t want to use a ton of makeup in the hotter months, a skin tint is great for you because either way, you will have a bit of coverage without caking your face.

3. Makeup By Mario Soft Sculpt Shaping Stick

Contouring your face is an absolute must in a makeup routine, but can go so wrong so fast. My little hack for that problem is using a contour stick to mitigate a makeup disaster. Literally, all you have to do is apply the stick to the areas you want to snatch and blend for a quick and easy contour process. Makeup by Mario is a great brand because who doesn’t want their makeup by the Kardashian makeup artist? It’s dual-sided, so one side has the contour stick and the other has an amazing little brush to blend with. Again, it is bigger than most contour sticks out there so you are guaranteed to get a ton of usage out of it.

4. NARS Soft Matte Complete Concealer

I have struggled for years to find a concealer that is full coverage, matte and doesn’t run out of product in a week. I found that using a cream concealer as opposed to a more liquid base is good for minimizing waste, and it goes on super smooth. All you need is a concealer makeup brush and blend it into your foundation! It goes on matte, which is a nice contrast to all of the shimmery products you may be using on your face. It’s also a perfect full coverage concealer that rivals Tarte’s Shape Tape in my eyes. It’s a small pot, so you can carry it in your bag with no space wasted.

5. BECCA Cosmetics Ignite Liquified Face & Body Highlighter

Body makeup is making a huge comeback (was it ever in style? I don’t know) and I, for one, am living for it. Put a drop or two of this in your lotion and use it all over for a shimmer that only Victoria’s Secret models have achieved. There are multiple shades available and trust me, this product does not lack shimmer. This highlighter really embodies the whole “a little goes a long way” saying, but it is 100% worth it. It has multiple uses: to be mixed in with your moisturizer for a base on your face, for your body, or to be packed onto areas where the light hits your face. Regardless of how you use it, it’s a great makeup product to have to set yourself apart from the rest and have that ultimate summer glow.

6. Smashbox Halo Healthy Glow Tinted Moisturizer

If you don’t want to wear makeup at all, but still want to even your skin tone before heading out, here is a great alternative for you. A tinted moisturizer can be rubbed all over your face before leaving the house and give you the desired results. The best part about it? It has SPF 25 in it to protect your skin and avoid wrinkles in the future. It’s a great makeup product to have on you at all times so you look a bit more put together and are protecting that amazing skin in the process. This product in particular includes a little shimmer to provide a healthy glow for your face that you’ll love. It’s great for summer days spent out at brunch or at the beach bar because you don’t have to worry about a ton of makeup but it still gives you an added boost.

7. GrandeLash MD Lash Enhancing Serum

The Holy Grail of all makeup products in my humble opinion is anything Grande Cosmetics. Dedicated towards hair growth, Grande offers serums, mascaras, primers, etc. that will help your brows or lashes grow in no time. I seriously have never seen results like when I use this. All you need is to apply this serum daily to your lash line and wait a few months to see longer, fuller lashes. I bought this after I let my eyelash extensions fall out and it seriously saved me from disaster. I would recommend this product to anyone who is looking for growth but is scared to get scammed.

All of these stellar makeup products will help you feel amazing and confident this summer! Let me know your must-have go-to products in the comments below.
