12 Makeup Looks To Wear On A Night Out

When it comes to your makeup looks, you may get tired of wearing the same looks over and over again. If you’re looking for something new, you’ve come to the right place! The makeup looks outlined in this article are great for a night out, but ideally, you can copy these looks any time you want!

1. Cut Crease Eyeshadow

The cut crease style of eyeshadow is an amazing way to add depth to your eyes, as well as bring out the color. Achieving this look may feel a bit complicated at first, but with a little practice, you’ll get it down in no time. You’ll want to use a good eye primer to keep your makeup in place before starting. After this, create your base by picking the shade you want to use and layering it onto the eyelid crease from lightest to darkest. You’ll then want to take a flat brush, dip it into some concealer, and create a line underneath the dark base you’ve created. Fill in your eyelid with the rest of the concealer, set it in place, then add a shimmery shadow if you’d like! There are various different ways to play with cut crease eyeshadow, so get creative with it!

2. Creative Liner

Give your eyes a deep air of mystique by copying the creative liner in the photo below. Achieve the look by dipping a thin, pointed brush into a black eyeshadow color and outlining your eyes under the brow towards the center and creating a parallel line on your bottom waterline. You can then start to smudge and blend the eyeshadow to create a more cohesive look. Add some lashes and some glitter to really emphasize your eyes. You can pair the look with a neutral lip shade and some gloss.

3. Glitter Glam

Glitter glam eyeshadow is the perfect makeup look for a night out. Glitter will give your eyes the elevation they need to really amp up your look. Go with a darker shadow before adding your glitter to make your eyes pop even more! A great method to putting glitter on your lids is to use your fingertips rather than a brush. Your fingertips are likely to pick up more glitter, and pressing them against your lids will allow more of the glitter to stay on. Finish the glitter glam look off by adding some liner, lashes, and hoops.

4. Bold Color

If you really want to leave an impression, try adding some bold color to your makeup look! In the example photo below, the red pop of eyeshadow matches the red lipstick, creating a cohesive look. Any color will work for this look, but try to go with something more noticeable, such as blue, red, or green. Layer the eyeshadow under your waterline as well to create a bold outline of your eyes. Go the extra mile by matching the color scheme of your outfit to your eyeshadow color!

5. Smokey Eye

The smokey eye look is your classic, night-on-the-town makeup look. This look is elegant and sexy, creating the perfect edge for a night out. Achieving the smokey eye is all about layering your colors and using the perfect palette. You could create a darker look on the outer corner of your lid while leaving the inner corner light, or you could allow the smokey eye to cover all bases! Take your brush, start with the lighter colors in your palette, and blend outwards and up. Layer on the darker colors as you go along. You can use an eyeliner pencil and smudge it out to blend it with the eyeshadow, or you could go with a pointed liner look. Regardless of what you choose, you can’t go wrong with the smokey eye.

6. Bold Lip

You can never go wrong with a bold lip look on a night out. Grab a darker lip liner to outline your lips, then go with a dark lipstick! Darker lipsticks go well with any type of eye makeup depending on the shade and color you use. For a night out, a bold lipstick shade will add a dimension of depth to your makeup look. Consider using a gorgeous gloss over the shade you use, or use a matte lipstick if you’d rather emphasize your eyes more!

7. Bejeweled

Adding rhinestones to your makeup is another unique way to elevate your look. Rhinestones go particularly well with the glitter glam look, as they add another layer of sparkle to your face. The look in the photo below encapsulates a unique liner pattern, a darker eyeshadow, a nude lip color, and of course, rhinestones! You can arrange the rhinestones in any pattern you’d like based on your preferences or the type of statement you want to make with your makeup. Consider adding bronze to your face so that the contrasting colors emphasize your rhinestones even more.

8. Matching Colors

To create a cohesive look for your night out, try matching your makeup to your outfit! This could include eyeshadow, eyeliner, and even eyebrows. Pick out the outfit you want to wear and use different shades of that same color on your face. Copying this look will take your outfit to the next level while giving you a sense of togetherness.

9. Concealer Eyes

To really bring out the color of your eyes, try putting concealer on them! This is somewhat similar to the cut crease look, although you wouldn’t be applying that dark eyeshadow. Instead, simply use a small brush (or even the tips of your fingers) to dab the concealer onto your eyes. There are many different ways you can get creative with this look. The example in the picture below includes a creative eyeliner outline surrounding the concealer, which will draw even more attention to your eyes – perfect for a night out.

10. Glossy

Glossy makeup looks are both glamorous and elegant, which is why you should give this one a try for a night out! Many brands create eye gloss that is made specifically for your eyes, but you can also use any type of clear lip gloss. Similar to the concealer look, the gloss would probably stick to your eyelids best if you used your fingertips to apply it. You can begin by putting your eyeshadow color of choice underneath the gloss, or you can apply it to a clean slate. Create a cohesive look by adding gloss to your lips as well – you’ll be shining in no time.

11. White Liner

White liner is an easy way to make your makeup pop. Try dipping a small, pointed brush in your white liner and creating a crisp line wherever you please. You can put this alongside your lashes, underneath your waterline, or even above your waterline! Create a multi-dimensional look by also adding black liner in the mix as well as some dark eyeshadow to emphasize your eyes.

12. Colorful Lashes

Colorful eyelashes are a unique trend that will take your makeup to the next level. You can grab a pair of colorful falsies anywhere online. Grab a color you like, then consider basing your entire makeup look around the lashes you grab. If you go for orange falsies, for example, try wearing them with an orangey-bronze makeup look as well as orange lipstick. You could also mix the colors up if you wanted to! Regardless of what you choose to do with it, colorful lashes are bound to make your eyes stand out for that night on the town.
