Jobs seem to be difficult to come by amidst the Coronavirus quarantine we now all find ourselves in. Some of us have had our jobs postponed or we have been let go from them altogether. This can be frustrating because not only does it put our lives on hold, but we also need money to continue to provide for ourselves. Fortunately, there are some jobs you probably didn’t even know existed that you can have during the quarantine. These can range from essential jobs like medical, food services, and much more!

1. Food delivery

As we are all stuck inside, we are ordering from our favorite restaurants now more than ever. This means there is not only a higher demand for restaurant jobs but also food delivery. This means companies like Door Dash, Grub Hub, Uber Eats and more are looking for extra employees to help keep up with the high demand for food delivery. You’ll be sure to get lots of hours in and not to mention the tips from all the grateful customers. It’s as easy as getting in your car and dropping off food to locations near you.

2. Grocery store employee

We all know the grocery store is one of the very few places left that we are still allowed to go to. This essential job means plenty of hours and they come in a variety of different job options. From an overnight stocker to a cart sanitizer, these grocery store companies are urgently looking for more and more help. This can also be a great way to give back to your community and do your part with helping others. The other grocery store employees will surely appreciate the extra help, all the while you can gain some extra money too.

3. Nurse

If you already have the required education and training, the nursing field is urgently looking for these frontline workers. Being a nurse is not only an essential job, but it is also one of the most important and rewarding occupations to have. Nurses make a decent amount of money, as they should for all there hard work and dedication. The hours may be long, but to help so many people in need, it is priceless.

If you like solitude, being on the open road, and listening to your favorite tunes this could be the perfect job for you. As a country, we still need all our goods transported to us one way or another. Be the one to deliver essential items like food, medicine, medical equipment, and more. Truck drivers make pretty good money, and it’s as easy as getting in a truck and driving.

5. Receptionist

For an essential business is open, usually, all or most of the employees are continuing to come to work to continue with business as usual. This means receptionists along with the rest of the company or business, will be working in order to keep things organized and as normal as possible. These jobs are becoming increasingly more available as these businesses are constantly getting calls from people with questions about how they’re business is operating in the midst of the quarantine. If you are organized, can schedule and take calls, this can be an easy job for you to learn. These are typically hourly jobs and can be a great way to earn some extra money.

6. Amazon

Most of us have been ordering things online like crazy during the quarantine. Amazon is undoubtedly the most popular online service that we are using today, and we are ordering everything from food to entertainment to toilet paper. They are currently hiring many employees daily in order to keep up with the demand. Get in on the delivery action and the $17 an hour pay.

7. Remote

Companies that help create products that help us do work and stay connected remotely whether professionally or personally are in search of many employees to help with the traffic, provide customer service, and improve their user’s experience. These companies include Slack, Zoom, Fiverr, and more. These jobs allow you to work from home, make a paycheck, and gain some experience that will be good to have after the quarantine. These also can be easy jobs to learn so you don’t need to and range in a variety, so there is something for everyone.

8. Retail

Believe it or not, there are still retail jobs available. People are still ordering things online that can either be delivered to them or picked up in the front of the store. For example, these retail places like Target, Walmart, Walgreens, Dollar General, 7-11, and more are in high demand for extra employees. you don’t have to be afraid of these kinds of jobs, as they have taken extra precautions to keep employees safe during the quarantine that are actually quite impressive. Most of these jobs pay anywhere from minimum wage to around $15 an hour based on the job you have and the location you are in.

9. Postal service

With all the online ordering going, our postal service is working around the clock to keep up with the high amounts of traffic. The great thing about working in the postal service is that these jobs come with great benefits and often pay more than minimum wage. You can find these jobs not only at the U.S. Postal Service but also in FedEx.

10. Pizza places

Different from food delivery, pizza places are especially high demand as they are hiring not only delivery employees but they also need extra help with making the pizzas, answering customer questions over the phone, and taking orders. Every popular pizza company from Papa Johns to Pizza Hut is in need of extra help. This can be a great way to earn extra money and the hours will be pretty good depending on the location you apply for.
