When I think of the word “indie” I usually think of indie music. Indie music originally was artists who released their music independently and they were seen as “trailblazers.” Indie fashion is similar, except it now usually refers to clothing that is retro and vintage in style. It is a unique kind of fashion that is for people who wish to stand out and be trendsetters. Here are 20 different indie clothes to experiment with!

1. Old Band Tee

These are pretty easy to find anywhere as almost every store has hopped on this trend. However, thrift stores have surpluses of these T-shirts to choose from instead of just your typical mainstream bands. Like pictured, you can wear the T-shirt tucked into a pair of high waisted jeans with a pair of Converse.

2. Multi-Color 80s Style Jacket

80s fashion is making a comeback. These multi-color jackets are really popular  Wear it with a pair of high-waisted shorts or pants and Doc Martins for an edgy look.

Also, if you are into fashion design you can thrift items and then make them unique and more your own.
