How To Clean Your Beauty Blender The Right Way

What You’ll Need:

Your beauty blender sponge
Microwave safe dish
Water
Dish soap (optional)

How To:

1. Optional.

This first step is completely optional. Dampen your beauty blender by running it under warm water and wringing it out. Take about a dime size amount of dish soap and coat your beauty blender. Run under the warm water again and keep wringing out your blender until the soap is completely rinsed out.

2. Cover in water.

Place your beauty blender in your microwave safe dish. Cover the blender with about 1 inch – or whatever submerges the blender – of water. You want to make sure the blender is completely soaked so that it does not catch on fire.

3. Microwave.

Place the dish in the microwave and then heat on high for 3-5 minutes, depending on how big your blender is and how much water you used.

4. Let cool.

Take dish out and let it cool for about 1-2 minutes. Once is it is cool enough to touch, squeeze out all of the excess water, let dry, and you’re good to go!
