5 Healthy Recipes For Summer To Maintain That Summer Body

Summer is almost here, and you are probably thinking of booking your holidays. Why not starting to work on your summer body now with some great summer recipes? Don’t be scared of eating desserts and delicious meals anymore. We have listed for you 5 healthy recipes for you to try.

1. Protein Smoothie (1 pers)

Smoothies are very practical. Easy and quick to prepare, they keep all the nutrients, antioxidants and vitamins of fruits and vegetables. Ideal during summertime as you can drink them cold. You just need a blender. These drinks are great substitutes for snacks as they keep you full during the afternoon. This recipe is rich in starch and protein.You will need 3 bananas, 1 tablespoon of chia seeds, 10 almonds kept in water overnight, 4 dates, 1 glass of water and some honey (only if you like). Mix all the ingredients together, and your protein smoothie is done! This is one of the best healthy recipes!


2. Raw Cocoa And Goji Berry Bar      (1 pers.)

This snack is perfect if you need to eat something on the go, or after gym, and are not a fan of over processed food. These bars can be easily prepared in advance at home. This is one of our favourite healthy recipes!

Method:

Chop 80 gr of dates or figs, 20 gr of cashew nuts and 20 gr of almonds. Knead the ingredients together. Then, add 2 teaspoons of raw cocoa powder and 1 tablespoon of goji berries. Knead again until the dough comes together in a ball. Put the dough on some cooking paper, and put aside for a couple of hours. Cut the dough in multiple pieces to finish the preparation.

3. Mushroom Omelette (4 pers.)

This omelette is light and will keep you full. Try it with a salad or grated carrots accompanied by some olive oil and lemon juice. This is one of the healthy recipes you’ll love!

Method:

Peel and cut 1 shallot in thin slices. Cut 60gr of mushrooms in thin slices too.
In a salad bowl, beat 5 eggs, and add to them 2 tablespoons of olive oil, 2 pinches of sea salt, 3 turns of pepper mill and 1 pinch of nutmeg.
In a warm and oiled frying pan, cook the mushrooms with the shallot for a few minutes, then pour over the beaten eggs. Let the mixture cook for approximately 5 min at medium heat.
Put the omelette on a plate and sprinkle with fresh parsley.


4. Almond milk and cocoa mini pot (4 pers.)

This dessert is simply delicious. A great alternative to the dairy yogurts, treat yourself with these mini pots. Made with Agar Agar, this ingredient is ideal if you want to slim down a little but or keep your current weight without any stress.

Prepare a pan and boil 500ml of almond milk with 2g of agar agar. Let it cook for 3 min. Add 4 teaspoons of sugar free cocoa powder and whisk until it blends ( if you see a mousse, it’s good, it will solidify).
Pour the mixture in 4 different post, and let to cool.
Keep the desserts in the fridge.


5. Detox Water Mint Cucumber         (3 pers.)

When it’s hot outside, you want something cool to drink. Why not prepare this detox water? Simple and healthy, you will be more than ready to hit the beaches on holidays.

Method:

Cut 1 cucumber of approximately 30cm in thin slices. Put the slices in a glass. Do the same with the fresh mint leaves. Add some water and a few ice cubes. Let infuse for 10 mins. Ready!
If you want to accentuate the detoxification process, add some lemon or red berries to your water.
