Healthy Morning Habits You’ll Want To Get Into

Ah, morning time, glory time. Having a morning routine is something that will start your day on the right foot. Waking up early and getting your day started can be more relaxing than you think. No one wants to be racing the clock and running around every morning not getting anything done. 

Productive mornings will set you off on the right foot for the day. So stop hitting your snooze button and get out of bed. Mornings are personally my favorite part of the day and can be used as a reset from the night before. 

Incorporating these healthy morning habits into your daily routine will not only make you feel really good but after a while, they will become second nature. You’ll actually want to wake up and start each day. Rather than seeing how long you can stay in bed for. 

1. Wake Up Early

Give yourself at least an hour or a half-hour deepening on your schedule in the morning to wake up and gather yourself. If you wake up early, you’ll be able to go through your morning routine with ease and it won’t be stressful. If you struggle as an easy riser, a way to do this is to keep your blind open. This will allow the sun to peep each morning. It’ll be refreshing to get some Vitamin D in your bedroom. 

2. Hydrate

The first thing you should do every single morning is chugging a glass of water. Your body becomes naturally dehydrated as you sleep. Have a glass of water next to your bed so after you stop your alarm you can take a couple of sips. This will get your body and mind moving. Or have a glass of hot lemon water to start the day. This is really good for your gut and will get things flowing if you know what I mean. 

3. Stretch

This might seem weird but stretching is good if you don’t have time to work out in the morning. It will get your body moving in a physical way and after sleeping for 8+ hours, it’ll feel more relaxing than you think. It will help to loosen your muscles and increase blood flow. You could also turn your stretching into a meditation session where you focus on your mind and breathing. This could be just 10 minutes but it’ll make a difference in your daily performance.

4. Eat

The saying that breakfast is the most important part of the day is actually true. Getting a good breakfast will make a huge difference in the way your body and mind function throughout the day. Having something to eat in the morning will help you not get hungry throughout the day, it will give you more energy and it can help with focus and concentration. There are a ton of different breakfasts to make ahead of time so if you don’t have an abundance of time in the morning try overnight oat or egg muffin cups. 

5. To-Do List

Making a list of everything you need to do for the day will help you actually get things done. Writing them down will help you not forget what you need to accomplish but each time you get something done you can check it off. There is nothing more satisfying than checking things off a to-do list. If you don’t have anything that needs tending too, jot down a few things you are grateful for. It’s a really good way to count your blessings.
