10 Hand Creams To Soften Your Hands

Hand creams are definitely essential during the winter months. Some brands are better than others, but moisturizers and lotions are necessary to soften up your palms when the air is cold and dry. This article is going to give you the top 10 hand creams to ensure that you will survive the winter months, and your hands won’t need to take a beating. Give yourself an at-home manicure with these 10 hand creams!

1. Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion

Everyone has different skin types. If you have sensitive skin, like me, I would highly recommend using this brand. A small amount goes a long way, and you can get a large bottle of it at your local drug store for around or less than $10.00. Dermatologist recommended, and with natural ingredients, this particular product will lock in the moisturizer for a 24 hour period. I have actually been using Aveeno moisturizer for years, and we keep it at work for everyone to use. Aveeno products are subtle enough that they do not irritate your skin, but make a hydrating impact.

2. Neutrogena Hydro Boost

Neutrogena, along with Aveeno, has great skincare products. I actually picked this up at a dermatologist visit, and I love it. Gentle, hydrating, and it doesn’t leave that stinging feeling with a strong scent that most hand creams work. I actually brought this cream with me when I recently went on vacation, and it was a perfect texture after being in the hot sun all day. I swear by Neutrogena as well as their products! If this particular product does not work for you, Neutrogena is a great place to look for other moisturizers and lotions. There is no end to fantastic products that they carry – so you are in luck.

3. Mario Badescu

For Christmas this year, I was surprised by a hand cream by Mario Badescu. I had tried their skincare products, like face wash, but I hadn’t tried their hand cream. The one I had gotten was called ‘special hand cream with vitamin E’, and it works with all skin types. It was a gift so I am not entirely sure of the price, but I imagine you can get this anywhere. Mario Badescu makes sure that his products are outstanding by making them gentle enough for everyone, but with Vitamins A & E to provide substantial nourishment. I swear by this brand!

4. Origins Make A Difference Hand Cream

If you are looking for an outstanding product, Origins is your go-to. I swear by this product! The brand Origins does make great skincare products in general, but this hand cream will really soften your hands and palms. The extra few dollars you would be spending is totally worth it. With a sweet subtle smell and vegan ingredients, this makes for the perfect pampering skincare routine. Stop by your local Macy’s and see what Origins has for products!

5. Aveda Hand Relief

Likewise, with Origins, Aveda promotes vegan skincare ingredients. This product is around $24, so it may not be on the top of your list. However, I have had a facial with a wide range of Aveda products and this is one that will surely be compatible with any skin type. Many hand creams leave a sticky residue, luckily this one and the previously mentioned do not! You may have to browse around online to purchase this cream, but it is totally worth the hunt.

6. Brazilian Bum Bum Cream

Who can resist the name? The texture, light smell, and soothing feel of this cream are like no other. Head down to your local Sephora or Ulta to indulge in this product. I tried this product a while back and was very impressed by how soft it was, and how amazing it was to smell! A little on the pricer side, but this product got great reviews.

Philosophy never fails to have great skincare products. I used to use their bubble bath/ shower gel, and they’re just isn’t anything like it. I personally have never tried their hand creams, but this is one that got great reviews! Philosophy products are sold at Sephora and Ulta, but you can always find them either online or at Macy’s. Hand creams are worth doing a little bit of research sometimes!

Dove is another brand that is guaranteed to work well with any skin type. I have tried their hand cream, and the subtle smell combined with deep hydration is unlike most brands. There is a reason why dove gets so many amazing reviews. Not to mention, you can pick this up just about anywhere. Dove hand cream carries a wide variety of different scents, and that adds to the relaxing vibe of a skincare routine.

9. Burts Bees

When it comes to hand creams or skincare in general, there is definetly a misconception that the more money you spend, the more effective your hand cream will be. This is false because my dermatologist had told me directly that name brands are no more effective than drugstore brands. Burts Bees are available at all local drugstores, and you won’t be breaking your bank account! Check out some of their hand creams and let your skin thank you later.

10. Eucerin

This brand is definetly one of the most heard of and is very affordable. Their ‘advanced repair’ was considered the most moisturizing. Eucerin has great products that you can purchase just about anywhere. Head to the store and check out this brand before grabbing something last minute to revive your hands!
