Give Yourself A Makeover Using Pinterest

Give Yourself A Makeover Using Pinterest

Looking for something fresh and new? Give yourself a Pinterest Makeover. It’s fun to scroll through Pinterest’s never-ending feed and fantasize about the ideal version of yourself. But just pinning the inspiration isn’t enough. It’s time to take action.

1. Get Rid Of It. Seriously.

An easy first step in giving yourself a Pinterest makeover is going through your clothes, clutter, and bedroom. Find the space in your lift that is giving you the most anxiety or feels completely uninspired. Now get rid of it. Seriously no more telling yourself you’ll use this later. You won’t. If you haven’t by now, you’re not going to. Put it in a bag for donations so someone else can get more use for it. Hold true to your Pinterest makeover and your ideal self. If you don’t see the best version of your self wearing that top, having a cluttered closet, or using a ratty comforter, get rid of it.

You won’t be forced to make a change if you still have the comfort and ease of your present. Force your own hand. Then inhale the new as you make room for what’s to come.

2. Clean Out Your Pins

Okay, so digital detoxes are a thing, but when’s the last time you did a digital declutter? We’re looking at you, Pinterest. Those outfits you pinned in 2013 probably aren’t your style anymore. So get rid of it. Use your Pinterest boards for visual representation. You spent hours accumulating the perfect boards, so now it’s time to put them to good use.

If you’ve pinned it, you should start it. Your Pinterest makeover needs to match where you are right now and represent where you want to be going. So, make sure you don’t have any outdated ideas weighing you down.

Find those pins that make your soul sing and feel tingly. Those pins calling to you and pulling you to a higher level, your Pinterest makeover level. Only leave those pins on your boards, and get rid of anything that will sink you in sedentary.

3. Thrift For Basic

Thrift stores are full of items that are meant to be reused and brought to a higher level. Plus, it’s like a scavenger hunt, and you will feel like a pirate finding a chest of gold when you find the perfect piece. A Pinterest makeover doesn’t have to break the bank. If you do it right, it won’t. In terms of clothes, when you look at the outfits, pinpoint what exactly you like about the outfit. Odds are, not every piece of your Pinterest makeover outfit is extravagant or boutique only pieces.

That plain black t-shirt under the trendy jacket can be found at a thrift store. It will save your bank account and help out the planet.

Take a look at your dream living room; you can find some of those accent pieces or end tables in the thrift stores. They have more items than people give them credit for. Even if the color isn’t the same as your dream piece of furniture, you can paint it. Your Pinterest makeover will feel more accomplished and personal this way.

4. Amazon For What You Can’t Thrift

If you’ve scoured the thrift stores and can’t seem to find your hidden treasure, Amazon offers an easy cheat code map to what you’re looking for. Amazon can help save your Pinterest makeover without breaking the bank too badly. In fact, if you didn’t already know, Amazon’s clothing section for women and men alike offers a wide variety. You are sure to find what you’re looking for at a reasonable price.

Again Amazon should be used in your Pinterest makeover for staple pieces. Not anything too extravagant. Basic tees, binders to organize your life, books to help with lifestyle, anything of that nature.

Amid COVID-19, online shopping alternatives offer a way to help you feel like you’re still moving forwards when the world sometimes feels like it’s at a standstill.

5. Boutiques For Statement

Supporting your local businesses and finding a unique piece go hand in hand. Think back to when you fell in love with your pins. What specific item made you fall in love? We can guess you thought this isn’t something you see in an everyday store. At least not the places you usually go to.

And you’re right, these are the statement pieces you buy, and you spend a little extra money on. They are the beautiful blazers, the standout side table, or the meticulous meditation space. Those pieces that grab your eye can be found in the small boutiques your city offers. Get to know your local business owners and see what help they can offer you in your Pinterest makeover. They’ll be sure to help as much as possible. When you find the piece to complete your Pinterest makeover, you’ll want to share it with the world. And word of mouth is the best marketing any business could ask for.

Make your statement piece speak for itself while you rep for the boutique that helped you find it. Investing in statement pieces for your Pinterest makeover is what makes or breaks your motivation. Those are the pieces that inspired you. So now you own them, and you want to keep growing. It’s no longer a fantasy; it’s your reality. It’s time to start living out your own expectations.

6. Hair, Makeup, Lifestyle, Cooking, Decor

Pinterest makeovers don’t just have to be about looks. Name the topic, and someone has a blog post for it on Pinterest. If you do want to change your look, you can go beyond clothes. Even learning to do a new hairstyle that doesn’t involve coloring or cutting counts as a Pinterest makeover.

If there’s any part of your life you are ready to change, if you’re prepared to break out of your routine habits, or add some color and freshness to your life, Pinterest can help you. Use Pinterest as a blueprint for your makeover. But you’re the builder, and you have the tools to bring that blueprint into the three-dimensional world.

You aren’t limited to changing only one aspect of your life.

7. One Step At A Time

Makeovers aren’t about changing who you are; it’s about growing into who you are. Remember, you can’t just wake up one day, a completely different person. You actively work to become that person. Your Pinterest makeover starts with your dedication to the process and remember to take it one step at a time.
