Get Ready For Cuffing Season With These Tips And Tricks

Take a look at these true signs of cuffing season and how you know you are ready for your next fling. Cuffing season is upon us!

Are you suddenly feeling a chill on your back as you sleep? Are your friends not willing to hang as often because they’ve always got a date over? Is your hook-up buddy suddenly unavailable and their status changed to “in a relationship” on social media? If you’re surprised and caught off guard by any of these, then it’s probably because you didn’t realize it’s the beginning of cuffing season. And if you’re one of those people that likes to be settled down for the occasion then you’re probably not ready yet either.

Having A Partner

Don’t feel bad or like people are intentionally and purposely putting you off. They’re not. I don’t know why or what it is but every year, around the same time, people are finally ready to get a little serious. Like they suddenly remembered what it was like to have your ass up against them for a whole night into the morning. Well, when it’s put that way the idea doesn’t sound too bad. It could be a thing with the cosmos. I don’t know. But it’s possible that it’s due to the fact that summer is about being hot and having fun and once those summer nights are through the loneliness kicks in with the cold, no one wants to go outside anymore, and everyone consequentially gets serious settle down feelings. So fear not, it’s not an attack on you and your feelings. People are just prepping for hibernation. You can either get ready yourself or try to survive the winter. Cuffing season is comforting and less lonely.

Getting A Serious

Before you can even get ready though, you have to have someone you can get serious with. Do you have someone who’s been feeling you and maybe you’ve been putting them off for a bit. Or maybe just someone that you weren’t sure about so you chat with them every now and again, but don’t actually ever hang out with them. These are potential cuffing partners that you can try to get a little more serious with to keep you warm through the winter. Try inviting them over to 🍿 and ❄️. And do other stuff together like cuddling. It’s the quickest way to become a part of the temporarily ship’d crowd and avoid being without a date at holiday dinners and parties.

Dating Apps

If you haven’t got any one yet, you’re going to have to put in more effort. You’ve got to put yourself out there and find someone to tie down with! It’s time to head to Tinder. If you know how to send multiple date invites at once like a boss then you should have a cuff partner by October! Other options include randomly complimenting decently attractive people in normal public places. Like a popular Supermarket chain, a Starbucks, a gym (don’t buy a membership just to meet someone though, because then that’s sort of like prostituting isn’t?), or possibly other dating sites. Be Safe! Cuffing season can be a lot of fun.

Being Single

The other option is to not cuff. If you don’t feel like you really need to have someone by your side just because the weather’s getting cold, then don’t. I’m all for trends that make sense, but to be honest, I wouldn’t mind being alone and having my own space and no one to answer to. If you’re like this then you probably don’t care much for the season and continue on as you were. I kind of feel like there’s some sort of appropriation or conspiracy involved this ideal. Forcing people to believe that they need to have a partner. If you’re going to break up by Valentines Day, I don’t see what’s the point. But hey to each his own! Don’t feel bad about not having a date to bring to holiday parties either, because you can always meet someone there! It’d be funny if that person turned into your cuff partner though! Cuffing season is a great time.
