Fun Ways To Look and Feel Pretty In Quarantine

It can be draining having to continually be home with nothing to do and no one to see while in quarentine. A lot of the time people will go to a negative space when they are alone too often with their own thoughts. It’s so important, especially during these hard times, to focus on self-care and self-love. Even if it’s just you at home you should be making every effort to look and feel your best so you can take on each new day fresh and happy. With the school year starting up again this is the best time to get your confidence up. These are just a few ways that you can feel and look pretty during the quarantine.

Start Your Day With A Good Attitude

Let’s start off simply by adding positive affirmations to your daily routine in quarentine. It can be as simple as waking up in the morning and saying “I am going to have a good day today.” It is always good to send positive vibes to the world. If you start the day by believing it’s going to be a good one then you’re setting yourself up for success. As your day goes on you can keep adding new affirmations such as “I’m going to finish that assignment today.” You can even keep it simple by looking at yourself in the mirror and just saying “I’m enough.” This kind of simple task is great to build self-esteem especially if you need this kind of reassurance in your life. The best person to boost your confidence is you!

Be More Adventurous With Your Makeup

Do you have a crazy makeup look you saw online that you really want to try out but don’t have an occasion for it? If you’re in a situation where you are always home then this is the best time to try out something new with your makeup! Grab your brushes and your palette and just create some art. Draw that cat-eye as long as you want it. Paint on that makeup look by that Drag Queen that you follow. If you don’t wear makeup then this is a great time to start and see what look best suits you. Sometimes makeup can be a little daunting since there are so many products out there and so many different kinds of makeup looks you can do. Makeup up is meant to be a form of expression, not something that is frustrating or difficult to learn. The most important rule of makeup is to have fun! Try on different makeup styles until you find the one that makes you feel the most beautiful.

Take Care of Your Skin!

All the stress of quarentine has probably gotten your skin just as stressed out. You can start by a simple face wash every day to keep your skin feeling fresh and clean. By doing research you can find other products that best suit your skin type. For example with dry skin, you want to use a moisturizer before you go to bed or if you have dark circles under your eyes you can use an under eye cream to clear them up. It’s always a good idea to take care of your skin because of all the oil and irritation that builds up during the day. It’s important to do your research online to find out what products are going to be the best for you. There are a lot of youtube videos and articles that will walk you through the steps in getting a proper skincare routine. By having a skincare routine you’ll be feeling radiant in no time and your skin will thank you.

Keep Up With An Exercise Routine

This can be a little difficult to keep up with because routines and tasks are everchanging and some days are unpredictable. Even so, quarentine is the best time to get started on that work out that you’ve been meaning to follow. It’s as easy as just taking 10 minutes of your day to do those crunches and burpees. The pain will evidently be worth it when you start feeling the changes within your body. Doing your work out routine is also the best time to catch up on that show you’ve been wanting to watch. It’s always fun to challenge yourself and you might even be surprised by the amount that your body can handle.

Keep A Journal

Some people find it soothing to be able to have a place to keep their thoughts and feelings. A journal is a great way to keep track of your emotions. Especially in quarentine, we have to be able to take care of our mental health and journaling is a great way to keep track of it. There are so many different ways to journal that the possibilities are almost endless. Being stuck in quarentine your mind can tend to wander with all the free time. Why not write out all your thoughts and ideas because they could be valuable to you in the future. Take your hand at poetry or short story writing. It’s a fun way to get your creative juices flowing and it’s a story that you’ll know the ending to.

Have A Dress Up Day

Set aside one day for you to get dressed up. This could be you putting on your nicest dress or painting on your most glamorous makeup or even just wearing heels around the house. Just wear the outfit or look that makes you feel the most confident. You could even try a new look you’ve been meaning to test out. With online shopping, you’d be able to make a whole new outfit just by searching it online. Some days can be boring at home when you’re just wearing the same thing every day. It’s fun to spice up your looks even if you’re the only person that will see it. If you want to take it to another level have a whole photoshoot for yourself in your nice outfit! You’d be able to create cool shots by just using your house plants or wallpaper. Once you’re done you’ll get to post the pics online and now everyone gets to see the outfit you love so much. You’ll look and feel so confident if you just take the time to put in the effort.

Tell us in the comments which of these you’ve decided to incorporate in your daily routine! Share it with your friends so they can look and feel pretty in quarantine too.
