Austin is full of amazing places to eat, and during the summertime the patios will fill up! Make reservations at a restaurant you want to try and ask to be seated on the patio.Austin is the live music capitol, so many places you can enjoy your food while listening to fun music.

Watch the sunset from the popular Mount Bonnell. Mount Bonnell gives a beautiful view of Lake Austin and the surrounding green hills, and it’s a perfect place to end a summer’s day in Austin, TX! You could even bring a picnic to the top to enjoy as you watch the sun go down.
The Zilker Botanical Gardens is a beautiful place to explore on a summer day in Austin, TX. Walk along the path to see everything from a Japanese Garden to the butterfly trail for less than five dollars!

If you find yourself in Austin at the end of March, grab a kite and head to Zilker Park for the Annual Kite Festival! This is a fun day where the sky above Zilker is filled with colorful kites. Don’t worry about bringing a picnic because Zilker Park will have food trucks there if you happen to get hungry!
Even if you’re not their for the festival, fly a kite in Zilker Park anyways. It’s surprisingly a really fun way to spend a few hours in Austin, TX!
During the summertime, Austin City Limits Radio brings a free music festival once a month to Zilker Park. Bring your friends and family, and enjoy a night of amazing music while sipping cool drinks and eating tasty food!
