  • 2 parts apple-flavored bourbon

  • ½ part apple cider
  • Fill with ginger beer

Directions:

Muddle the mint leaves with the cider. Add the bourbon and some ice. Shake well and strain into a mule glass. Top with the ginger beer and add desired green apple garnish.

  • Kosher salt and a lime wedge to rim the glass

  • 2 oz (approx. 3 tbsp) silver tequila
  • 3 tbsp lime juice, freshly squeezed from 1 large or 1 ½ small limes, bottled juice not advised
  • 1 tbsp orange juice, freshly squeezed from ½ small/medium orange
  • 1 ½ tsp light agave nectar, add 2 for a sweeter margarita
  • ¼ to ½ jalapeno pepper, cut into thin, round slices, add more for a spicier margarita
  • Lime wedges and additional jalapeno slices for serving as desired

Directions:

To rim the glass, pour a thin layer of salt onto a small plate. Rub a lime wedge around the top edge of your glass to moisten, then dip the glass into the salt so that it sticks, tapping all the way around. Fill the glass with ice and set aside. Fill a small cocktail shaker with additional ice. Add the tequila, lime juice, orange juice, agave, and jalapeno slices. Close tightly and shake well. Pour into the rimmed glass and enjoy with garnish as desired.

6. Silver Cup

This Father’s Day drinks recipe combines delicious peach brandy, sherry, and whiskey for a sophisticated cocktail he’ll love.

Ingredients:

  • 1.75 oz American Whiskey, such as Tincup or other
  • 0.5 oz sherry, such as Lustau Pedro Ximenez or other
  • 0.25 oz peach brandy, such as Peach Street Distillers or other
  • 8 mint leaves

Directions:

In a julep glass, muddle the mint leaves with the sherry of your choice, then add the rest of the spirits and pebble ice or other preferred. Swizzle, then add more ice, (forming a mound if you use pebble ice). Add mint sprigs for desired garnish and serve with a steel straw or other preferred.

Father’s Day drinks for coffee-lovers have to include this make-ahead recipe with creamy milk vodka, cream, and the fresh taste of recycled ground coffee.

Ingredients:

  • 3 tbsp used ground coffee
  • 250 ml dark rum
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • Ice
  • 1 vanilla pod, optional
  • 150 ml double cream
  • 150 ml milk vodka, such as Black Cow or other

Directions:

Put the coffee grounds in a jar or bowl. Pour over the rum, cover, and steep for 24 hrs. Once infused, strain the rum into a jug through a sieve lined with kitchen paper, and stir in the maple syrup. Take four tumblers and pour 25 ml of the coffee rum into each, then top with ice cubes. In a jub, mix together the seeds of the vanilla pod, the double cream, and the vodka, keeping the pods for desired garnish. Put a spoon on top of the ice in the glass and pour a quarter of the cream slowly onto the spoon so that it overflows into the glass so it floats on top of the coffee liqueur. Repeat process with the remaining glasses, garnishing each with a piece of vanilla pod and serve with a stirrer.

8. Cafe Tempestini

For refreshing Father’s Day drinks, try this wine cocktail with a nice, tart cranberry flavor.

Ingredients:

  • 3 oz Retsina, chilled
  • 1 ½ oz Samos Moscato wine, chilled
  • 1 oz pure, unsweetened cranberry juice
  • Splash of Triple Sec
  • Ice

Directions:

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ oz Vodka, such as Ocean Organic or other
  • ¾ oz Thai basil and black peppercorn syrup
  • ¾ yuzu citrus (¼ oz. yuzu juice and ½ oz. lemon juice)
  • 2 ½ oz freshly-squeezed pomelo or grapefruit juice
  • Kosher salt and black pepper for rim

Directions:

Rim half of a Collins glass with salt and pepper. For peppercorn syrup, roast 1 tbsp. whole black peppercorns and ½ tbsp cracked peppercorns in a saucepan over high heat for 6 min. until aromatic. Add 1 cup water and 1 cup sugar. Stir, bring to a boil, and let cool. Add 7 stems of Thai basil and allow to rest overnight. Strain the syrup to remove peppercorns and basil. In a mixing tin, combine all ingredients and shake well. Strain over fresh ice into the Collins glass and garnish with one sprig of basil as desired.

12. Blackberry Vodka Smash

For Father’s Day, try this refreshing summer lemonade vodka drink packed with fresh fruity flavor.

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz vodka
  • 2 oz citron vodka
  • 2 oz blackberry schnapps
  • 6 oz fresh lemonade
  • Mint
  • 6-7 fresh blackberries, smashed
  • 4-5 mint leaves, minced
  • 2 oz blackberry ginger ale

Directions:

In a small bowl, smash up your fresh strawberries and set them aside. Mince the mint leaves and set them aside. In a shaker, shake together lemonade, both vodkas, smashed berries, and mint. Combine all ingredients in a blender with 1 cup of ice and blend until smooth. Pour into a hurricane glass and garnish the top with chocolate syrup as desired.

Ingredients:

  • 3 oz fresh orange juice
  • 2 oz ginger ale, chilled

  • Ice cubes
  • Orange slices/wedges

Directions:

Place the orange juice, brandy, allspice berries, and one cinnamon stick, broken into pieces, into a cocktail shaker. Shake vigorously for desired spiciness. Strain into an old-fashioned glass, leaving the allspice berries and cinnamon stick out, and top with the ginger ale. Add ice and garnish as desired with a cinnamon stick and orange slices or wedges.
