Fall Must-Haves For Your Closet

Fall is right around the corner, and to distract you from the looming tearer of school, we have come up with a few fall must-haves for your closet. Personally, I think fall is the best weather for fashion because it’s not too hot and not too cold. It’s the best weather because you can basically wear anything. One day you can wear a cute romper, and the next you can wear a pretty sweater dress. However, the abundance of clothing options clouds our ability to decide which cute outfit we should wear first. So many options to choose from! How can you decide?

1. Real/Faux Leather Jacket

One fall must-have everyone should have in their closet entering the autumn season is a leather jacket. In particular, we recommend you have a neutral colored leather jacket such as black or brown, so it can match with anything in your closet. Leather jackets are a cute fashion staple not just for their appearance, but because they are better than most spring jackets in keeping you warm. Although real leather jackets will keep you ten times warmer than faux ones, both options will get the job done.

Leather jackets look even cute on students who wear a uniform. It is a light enough jacket to wear on a cool morning and easy for you to carry in the afternoon when it warms up. Most wind-breakers are too big and heavy for students to carry around with them.

2. Booties

Booties are a fall must-have for students, especially those who need to wear uniforms. Since booties look exactly like shoes, you can easily wear them during fall and even winter without having to switch to indoor shoes. Booties are great because they are as cute and comfortable as shoes, with the durability of boots to withstand rainy and snowy weather.

Besides their durability, booties are a cute must-have for every girl and boy’s closet. Some shoe stores such as Skechers provide cute booties with memory foam inserts so you can walk around in comfort! Depending on the style of the booties, you can even transition them from a day shoe to an evening shoe. Isn’t that cute?

3. Blanket Scarf

This is a new fall must-have I realized was essential from last year. Blanket scarves are the underdogs in the scarf family. You never know how much you need one until you have one. If you first look at the scarf you will think its too bulky and heavy for you. In reality, most of them are quite light and they have multiple uses.

You can wear it like a regular scar, a poncho, or a wrap. You can even use it as a blanket when you are on the train or in the car. During university, I would love to bring it with me to the library or class, cause I would wrap it around me while I studied. A blanket scarf is a necessity for anyone who works in an office building and all students.

4. Furry Coat/Over-Sized Sweater

One of the fall must-haves that emerged last season was the fuzzy coats that looked like over-sized sweaters. This piece of outerwear is perfect for the middle to end of fall, when the climate is transitioning closer to winter. It is also perfect for nights out with the girls. While the days may be warm, fall evenings can be pretty chilly even for a leather jacket. Instead of wearing a bulky sweater, simply throw on this fuzzy coat and you will look fashionably warm. Plus, it’s so comfy you can even rest your head on the jacket if you are sleepy, and it will be as soft as a pillow.
