10 Easy Air Fryer Ingredients You Need To Try

Having an air fryer lets you have fried food without the unhealthiness of a large amount of oil. An air fryer may be intimidating but here are ten things that are easy to things to try in your air fryer.

1. Asparagus

A simple side dish that is both healthy and delicious is roasted asparagus. Typically in the oven, a simple dish like this could take you up to 20 minutes to perfect the asparagus. With an air fryer the cooking time is cut more than half. In about seven or eight minutes you will have yourself perfectly roasted asparagus without the fuss and risk of your asparagus getting soggy with the added oil you would need in an oven.

2. Potatoes

I am thankful for all the different ways you can eat potatoes. With an air fryer you can indulge in a spud every now and then without the unhealthiness you would find in deep fried potatoes. There is an endless list of dishes you can make using potatoes with an air fryer. Baked potatoes, healthy fries, potato chips, roasted potatoes, wedges, the list goes on and on. Personally, I’m excited at being able to make fries without having to worry about all the oil.

3. Brussels Sprouts

This is another simple and easy side dish that will surely compliment any dish you prepare. In an air fryer you can crisp brussels sprouts to perfection. Crispy brussels sprouts can be made in your fryer as short as two to three minutes depending on how large and how many you put in the rack. Just make sure you keep on an eye smaller brussels sprouts and I suggest cutting larger ones in half to ensure they’re cooked all the way through.

4. Chicken

Chicken is also a versatile ingredient you can make in your air fryer. If you want to stay completely healthy you can make a simple dish like lemon pepper chicken. Or if you are still craving a little unhealthy snack now and then you can also make crispy chicken tenders. The best thing is that your crispy chicken tenders won’t even be as unhealthy as they would be if you were to fry them in oil.

5. Sweet Potatoes

Again, I am thankful for all the ways you can eat potatoes. Sweet potatoes are typically viewed as a healthier alternative to the typical rustic potato. If you are someone who would rather stick to sweet potatoes an air fryer will give you plenty of ways to prepare this vegetable. My personal favorite to make would be sweet potato chips, they are as delicious as they are nice to look at.

6. Eggs

Making hard boiled eggs can be a tedious feat. Depending on your preference in soft or hard boiled eggs making them in an air fryer will run you anywhere from ten to 16 minutes. I recommend not putting more than six eggs in at a time.
