I know it’s common for people to get their ears pierced when they are really young. Personally, I did not even get my ears pierced for the first time until I was 18 right before I went off to college. For some reason having a needle stuck through my ear terrified me, but after I did it I realized that it was kind of pointless that I waited for 18 years. Although I have never gotten a cartilage piercing before, I definitely would if I knew my mom wouldn’t yell at me for getting yet another piercing. Surprising your mom with a nose ring is definitely not a good idea. Anyways, here is a list of 22 cute cartilage piercings that I want…in the future.
Also if you’re like me and don’t know a lot about cartilage piercings, I did some research for you to save you the Google search. There are 4 different types of cartilage piercings. The helix piercing is on the part of the cartilage that curls up on the outside edges of the ear. There is the tragus piercing which is the small area of cartilage above the earlobe. The orbital piercing where according to an online jewelry designer “the piercing enters and exits the same piece of cartilage in the ear.” Lastly, the conch piercing (no not like the conch in “Lord Of the Flies”) where the piercing is in the middle of the ear cartilage.
This is one of my favorites cute cartilage piercings. It’s really simple yet elegant. Maybe my mom wouldn’t freak out if I showed up with this piercing because it is really not that extra. It has a little dangle, but it’s very subtle. This heart-shaped earring would be perfect to wear to a fancy event.
I’m more of a stud earring person, but the hoop looks good in cartilage piercings. I love the star in this one. It is totally Instagram worthy.
