8 Classic First Date Outfits You Need To Try ASAP

Going on a first date with someone is exciting and filled with potential. However, figuring out what to wear can be daunting, especially if you are not used to going on first dates. Here are a few ideas if you are feeling a little stuck. These are some of the classic first date outfits!

1. White shirt and jeans

There is nothing like a pair of cute and comfortable jeans with a white shirt. You can style it down if you are going somewhere casual or style it up if you want to go a little fancier. You can even go with different colored jeans, not just blue. Just do not order anything with tomato sauce or it may end up staining your shirt. This is one of the classic first date outfits!

2. Black dress

The “Little Black Dress” has been a fashion classic since forever. This outfit is the perfect outfit for going from your job or internship to your first date. Like the jeans and white shirt, it can be casual or a bit dressier, depending on where you are going on your date. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes if you are not used to heels.

3.  Cami and Cardigan

Wearing a camisole and a cardigan is a great way to layer, especially during the spring or fall. If the place you are going is warm, you can take the cardigan off and if it is a bit chilly, you can keep it on. You can wear jeans or dress slacks, depending on how dressy or casual you need to be for the place of the date. You can also accessorize with jewelry to add some flair. This is one of the classic first date outfits!

4. Layered dress

Layering a dress with a cardigan, sweater, and/or a scarf is a great way to add a personal touch to a basic dress. This is especially useful if it is kind of chilly in the evenings. Layers allow you to express yourself and play with various color combinations, which will give you an opportunity to let your date know about your right off the bat.

5. Bold-colored Skirt

Wearing a bold skirt with a plain top is a great way to mix up your wardrobe and show off your fun personality. Wearing neutral skirts is common, but bold-colored skirts are more unique and take confidence to pull off. This confidence will help you fight the first-date nerves and show your date that you are fun and not afraid to be different.

6. All-Black Ensemble

Wearing all black is a great way to keep it simple yet elegant. You can wear a textured or sparkly black top to add some personality. You can also add some color by accessorizing with jewelry, scarves, belts, or shoes that have color. This look allows you to go from the office to a date night easily if done right and you can also be comfortable while looking great.

7. Casual Dress

Casual dresses allow you to look cute without going overboard if you are going somewhere more casual. You can accessorize or wear just the dress. A simple sundress can look great on its own and allows you to be comfortable while looking good. Even wearing a casual dress with a pattern can look good and keep the outfit interesting. This is one of the classic first date outfits!

8. Classic Black and White

Black and white has been a classic forever and will never go out of style. If you want to accessorize, adding something red will give you a bold pop of color while keeping the classic look. Whether you wear this color combination in a dress, skirt outfit, or even a t-shirt and jeans ensemble, this combination will look incredible and elegant. This is one of the classic first date outfits!
