Celebrity Products That Pretty Much Suck

Let’s face it, celebrity products are either worth the money, or they completely suck. Some straight up just make no sense. Celebrities often come out with products because they know people will buy them because of their name. Other times, these Celebs come out with these products because they actually want to put something good out. Here is a list of sucky celebrity products that aren’t worth the money in the slightest

1. Vanderpump Rose

This is rose created by Lisa Vanderpump, star of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and Vanderpump Rules. On the show, it is a known fact that Lisa loves rose, so she decided to come out with her own. The rose itself is described as a pale rose, peach color with an elegant nose of delicate red currant and hints of pepper, as well as sweet citrus. On the palate it reveals a touch of strawberry, tangerine and peach in a dry, classic style. It goes for about $20-$30, depending on where you get it from. Honestly, this wine is pretty gross. It doesn’t taste at all like its described. Its definitely dry, but it’s also very bitter. It overall isn’t worth the money and you’re better off with a six dollar bottle of wine.  This rose is extremely bitter and tart. I thought maybe it was because I’m not the biggest fan of dry wines, but I drank this with people who enjoy dryer wines, and they didn’t like it either.

2. Kylie Skin

Last year, Jenner decided to take her business further and started a skincare line: Kylie Skin. There have been plenty of negative reviews for these products. However, the brand is currently attracting some criticism from fans for doing something rather unforgivable. The brand was facing the accusation of deleting negative comments from their website. Not every product is going to fit every person exactly so there are bound to be negative reviews on product, no matter how great or loved by a majority it is. I think it is kind of irresponsible of companies to falsely advertise (delete comments, paying people to give positive reviews, etc.) how well liked the products are. The products themselves aren’t anything special and are super overpriced. The stuff works, but it definitely is not worth the hype. However, there is one product in specific that is terrible. This being the Walnut Face Scrub. Walnut face scrubs can, however, be harmful to the skin since its texture can be too harsh, especially for the face resulting in minor tears. Using a walnut scrub as an exfoliator can, therefore, cause dry skin, or even lead to unwanted peeling.

3. Gwyneth Paltrow Vagina Candle

Gwyneth has made a candle called This Smells Like My Vagina for her website, Goop. And, of course, it has sold out. This candle retails for a whopping $75 and quite honestly, I don’t know why it would cost so much or even why this was invented to begin with. However, it’s evident that this celebrity product was a hit because it sold out pretty quick. On the website it says that this candle is made with geranium, citrusy bergamot, and cedar absolutes juxtaposed with Damask rose and ambrette seed to put us in mind of fantasy, seduction, and a sophisticated warmth. I get a candle smelling like sex or a sensual type of scent, because there are things on the market that are like that but saying that a candle smells like a vagina is a bit of a stretch. And not just anyone’s vagina. Gwyneth Paltrow’s vagina.

4. Yeezy Brand

Kanye West loves to brag about the success of his Adidas Yeezy Boost sneakers. Sometimes he brags about them in interviews. Yeezy Boosts are (still) the hottest sneaker on the planet in 2020, and they are super hard to get. However, there isn’t anything special about this brand at all. To start, since Yeezy’s are a part of adidas, there are plenty of dupes for these sneakers that are worth the money. Depending on the style, Yeezy’s can go for about $350-$400. I know that shoes can sometimes get expensive, but this is just next level. Don’t even get me started on the clothes. A pair of Five Pocket Jeans go for $480. Like shoes, jeans can get expensive, but borderline five hundred dollars is crazy, and I’m surprised people even pay for this stuff. Its not that his stuff is bad, it’s just clothes and shoes. However, I don’t know how anyone in their right mind would pay his prices when all of his clothes are just plain t shirts. I mean, how good could the quality be of just a plain t-shirt?

5. Halo Beauty Gummies

Halo beauty was created by Tati Westbrook, a well-known beauty youtuber who is currently more well known for the James Charles and Jeffree Star Drama. She decided to create these different gummies for different wellness. There are currently 4 different types. The Hair, Skin and Nails Booster, Kiwi Skin Booster, His Body and Brain Booster, and Her Body and Brain Booster. Originally, The Hair Skin and Nails gummies launched first. Tati received a lot of backlash for these because people claim for these types of vitamins to not really work. I have tried hair skin and nail gummies before and honestly, they didn’t really do anything. As far as Tatis brand, she faces a lot of backlash because while these gummies may have working active ingredients, she isn’t disclosing the expensive daily products that she is using that can also account for her good skin.

Celebrity Products are known to be either terrible, or amazing. People oftentimes buy these Celebrity Products just because of the name attached to it. Honestly, I have noticed myself doing this when it came down to brands like Kylie Cosmetics. Not that the products were bad, but celebs know what they are doing when they come out with products. They know that regardless of how bad the products are people will still purchase them because of the name attached to them.
