1. Resident Evil 2

As gamers attempt to avoid a zombie-infested apocalypse and escape Raccoon City, they will play as a rookie police officer by the name of Leon S. Kennedy as well as college student Claire Redfield. If you love all things horror, this is one you do not want to miss.

2. Days Gone

Initial Release Date: April 26, 2019

Similar to the Resident Evil franchise, Days Gone is an upcoming video game, based on survival and exploration, being developed by SIE Bend Studio exclusively for the PlayStation 4. Set in a post-apocalyptic open world and played from a classic third-person perspective, players take command of Deacon St. John. St. John seems to be a former outlaw who became a bounty hunter, choosing a life on the road in order to survive. Again, if you love horror, you definitely want to check this one out.

Developed and published by Capcom, this upcoming video game is the fifth installment of the mainline Devil May Cry series. The action-adventure hack and slash will grant the return of playable characters Dante and Nero, alongside a new character by the name of “V”.

4. Kingdom Hearts III

Kingdom Hearts III is one upcoming video game that has been in development hell for years, but alas it is finally upon us! Releasing on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, it an action role-playing game developed and published by Square Enix. Believe it or not, it is the twelfth installment in the franchise, a direct sequel to Kingdom Hearts II (surprise, surprise), and the final chapter in the Dark Seeker saga.

5. Metro Exodus

Initial Release Date: February 15, 2019

Metro Exodus is an upcoming video game, based on novels written by Dmitry Glukhovsky, being developed by 4A Games and published by Deep Silver. Fans of first-person shooters will be ecstatic to learn that this is the third installment in the Metro video game series and follows the events of Metro 33 and Metro: Last Light.

6. Tom Clancy’s The Division 2

Fans of online action role-playing games will be satisfied to hear that this upcoming video game is on the way! Finally, the upcoming video game the world over has been waiting for; The Last of Us Part II. Developed by Naughty Dog and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment exclusively for the PlayStation 4, it is a direct sequel to 2013’s The Last of Us.

That said, part II is set six years after the original and centers around the life of one of PlayStation’s most beloved characters; Ellie. No spoilers here, but her journey is sure to be both intense yet memorable. Gamers around the world can not wait for the adventure to continue!
