20 Most Delicious Things You Need To Eat In London Ontario Before You Graduate

Sometimes the dining hall just doesn’t cut it when it comes to having a good meal. Luckily, London is home to some of the best restaurants imaginable, so the options are endless! From delish fish tacos to scrumptious french toast, there are so many yummy foods to try. Check out this list of things you need to eat in London Ontario and where to get them before it’s too late!

1. The Spoke – Jalapeño Cheddar Bagel with Spinach Feta Cream Cheese

If you don’t know already, The Spoke is the place to get bagels on campus (and probably London as well). Their specialty bagels are well known and for good reason. If you go to The Spoke, you need to get the Jalepeño bagel with Spinach Feta Cream Cheese because it’s rich with flavour and super cheesy.



2. Prince Alberts – Peanut Butter Milkshake and Fries

Prince Alberts is an insta worthy 50’s diner on Richmond row. Their milkshakes are to die for if you have a sweet tooth and their fries pair perfectly. The whole menu is filled with feel good options, making it the perfect place to go when you want the best fried food.


3. Bertoldi’s Trattoria – Ravioli

If you’re craving quality Italian food, Bertoldi’s is the place to go. It is an upscale restaurant on Richmond with authentic Italian dishes. When you go, make sure to order the Ravioli, it is a dish that cannot be passed up.



4. Garlic’s – Mac and Cheese

Garlic’s is a popular restaurant that offers traditional food with a modern twist. The menu offers a wide variety of choices, but the mac and cheese is to die for. It is made with a creamy gruyere and cheddar cheese sauce with garlic bread crumbs.




5. The Wave – Five Cheese Spinach Dip

The Wave is also a super popular place to eat on Western campus. Its location on the second floor UCC is convenient for students and the food gives people a reason to come back again and again. Even though the Five Cheese Spinach Dip is not a meal, it is too good to pass up. It is also a fairly large portion, so if you’re feeling generous then share with a friend!


6. Campus Hifi – The Traditional Breakfast

There’s a reason this dish is called The Traditional Breakfast, it has everything you need for a complete breakfast! It comes with 2 eggs of any style, bacon or sausage or ham, home fries and toast! Campus Hi fi is a quaint brunch spot in the middle of Richmond row that offers plenty of other perfect breakfast options.



7. 168 Sushi Buffet

There isn’t a must try dish for 168 Sushi because it is a buffet, therefore try a little of everything! From sushi pizza and special rolls to curry and noodle dishes, this place has everything! There is truly something for everyone here, so don’t miss out!



8. Blu Duby – Malaysian Pad Thai

Blu Duby is located inside Hotel Metro at the heart of downtown. It has a laid back, yet refined vibe and the menu reflects this. The Malaysian Pad Thai is a must have and can be with chicken, shrimp  or even vegan!


9. Glassroots – (Menu changes)

If you enjoy vegetarian/vegan food, then you HAVE to go to Glassroots. The menu changes every week so there is always something new to try, not to mention everything about the restaurant is local. They also offer gluten free, soy free and nut free options so it is the perfect place to satisfy everyone.


10. The Bungalow – Lamb Burger

The Bungalow is nestled in the heart of London’s Old North and is known for their large burger menu. There are so many options it can be hard to choose, so if you need a recommendation, try the lamb burger. It is topped with feta cheese, Kalamata olives, arugula and served on a sesame Kaiser. And when the weather is nice, spend your meal on the relaxing, shaded patio.




11. Kosmos – Grilled Mac and Cheese with Greek Fries

Kosmos is a delicious little restaurant with a great variety of fresh to order sandwiches and salads. You can’t go wrong with anything on this menu, but the grilled mac and cheese sandwich with a side Greek fries is absolutely to die for.

Looking for a unique brunch or lunch spot? The Early Bird is the place to go. Their Chicken n Waffles is a customer favourite and it comes with bacon jam, duck gravy and crispy onions.

Rock au Taco is attached to The Early Bird and although their locations are the same, their menus are not. This place is known for their delicious tacos as one might be able to tell by the name. Try mixing it up a bit and get the fish tacos!

Symposium Cafe is truly a great place to eat for any meal. Their brunch in particular is to die for, so if you want something sweet, try their Caramel Banana French Toast. You won’t be disappointed!

Spageddy Eddys is an adorable little Italian restaurant filled with eclectic decorations. The portions are substantial so make sure to come on an empty stomach! If you’re vegetarian or just fancy a healthy meal, you have to go to Root Cellar and try their dragon bowl. It is green lentils, turmeric rice, cabbage, carrot, braised mushrooms, spiced chickpeas, sesame seeds, greens & kimchi, with 2 spicy marinated tofu skewers & house-made toasted sesame sauce. If that doesn’t sound enticing, then I don’t know what does!



19. The Church Key Bistro – Fish and Chips

The Church Key Bistro is a great pub on Richmond row with some of the best traditional British food. Their fish and chips are a customer favourite so make sure to stop by!


20. Wich is Wich – Chicken Marrakech Sandwich

If you want a classic sandwich, try the Chicken Marrakech Sandwich from Wich is Wich. Nothing else quite hits the spot and the exotic flare is sure to please your tastebuds.
