Breakfast Meals For Those Who Tend To Skip It

Breakfast is a polarizing meal, you either love it or hate it. There are those who look forward to waking up in the morning to eat their breakfast, preparing a whole meal for themselves before they start their day. And then there are those who would rather skip it and wait until lunch to finally eat their first meal of the day. But, there’s a reason breakfast is the most important meal of the day. We all need sufficient energy to start our day, and the best source of energy is a scrumptious breakfast meal. If you’re one of those people who tend to skip breakfast, we recommend trying out these five easy to prepare breakfast meals to slowly switch over to the side of breakfast lovers. Soon enough you’ll find yourself leading your day with a more energetic, motivated, and positive perspective, all because you took the time to actually eat breakfast.

Overnight Oats

Overnight oats are a game changer of a breakfast. The best thing about these breakfast meals is that you can prepare it the night before, that way in the morning it’s just waiting for you to grab it out of the fridge. For those who tend to skip out on breakfast, having something already prepared in the morning, increases your chances of actually eating something. When we’re getting ready, dolling ourselves up, we don’t really want to take the time to think about what we want to eat and then actually make it, unless of course you are breakfast’s number one fan.

Overnight oats are extremely easy to make, and completely customizable to your taste. To make overnight oats, all you need to do is combine oats, milk (dairy-free can be used), yogurt, and chia seeds. Leave this to sit in the fridge overnight, allowing it to thicken. In the morning you can add whatever toppings you’d like. This can be fruits, granola, nuts, peanut butter, or almond butter. See, totally easy to make with whatever your favorite fruits are. Overnight oats are a trustworthy breakfast that takes little time to prepare, but contains lots of great flavor. One of the best breakfast meals for those who usually don’t eat in the morning.

Breakfast Parfait

Similar to the overnight oats, is the breakfast parfait. For those who don’t really like the consistency or texture of overnight oats, the breakfast parfait is a great alternative. Just like the overnight oats, this breakfast meal is also really easy to make, and it won’t take long at all. For this, all you need is yogurt, it can be plain, or any flavor that you like, fruit, and granola. In a bowl, or even a to-go cup, layer yogurt, granola, fruit, with as many layers of each as you’d like. And that’s it. Which fruits are you going to put in your parfait?

Avocado Toast

Avocado toast. There’s a reason why so many people swear by this breakfast meal. It can pack plenty of protein in, and can also be made however you choose. A good bread, and ripe avocados are the foundation to this yummy breakfast meal. Mash your avocado on a separate plate, then add it on top of your toasted bread. Add salt, garlic, for taste. Plain avocado just isn’t it. And next you can add whatever you’d like on top, be it a fried egg, tomatoes, onion, or simply top with sesame seeds.

We’ll let you in on our secret spicy Avocado toast that we love! When it comes to toppings, we like to add Tony’s Creole seasoning, Pepperoncini peppers, and sriracha. Share this secret recipe with everyone and it’s sure to become everyone’s favorite.

When all else fails, a fruit bowl is one of the last and easiest breakfast meals you can go-to. When you do find yourself hungry, you can have this at the ready.

For those who tend to not eat breakfast, we understand. It’s hard to feel hungry when you’ve just woken up. When you’re feeling low energy and ready for lunch too early everyday of the week, it’s time to turn that around. Take the time the night before and prepare your breakfast so it’s ready for you when you are hungry.
