The 10 Best Travel Gadgets That Make Traveling So Much Easier

Travelling opens up a world of possibilities and new understandings. I believe people should always aim to travel as often as they get the chance to. I haven’t traveled much however from the traveling I have done and the research collected I have narrowed down my thoughts on the Top 10 Best Travel Gadgets that make traveling a whole lot more exciting and, thankfully, easier.

1. Power Bank/ Portable Charger

A must-have! I wouldn’t take any trip without one of these fully charged up. You never know when you may need to charge your phone but aren’t near any plug sockets. When traveling you can’t be sure of anything and so keeping one of these on you is very important. Anker is the most well know brand for power banks, however, these days there are many different ones to choose from and all do a good job.

2. Ipad/Tablet

For entertainment and much more, it is always handy to keep one of these devices on you. They seem to always come in handy especially when you need to use the maps/navigation feature or maybe do a bit of research on the places you can visit. These days people don’t leave the house without a tablet so I can’t imagine them traveling without one.

3. E-Reader

Now I am a huge advocate for physical copies of books over e-readers, however, I can’t ignore the fact that they do come in handy when traveling. Especially if you are like me and insist on reading a couple of books when traveling and not just one. Having an e-reader means you can keep all the books you want to read with you wherever you go. This is great if you are like me and can get through books quickly, e-readers mean that you don’t have to wait till you get back to your accommodation to start the next one!

4. Headphones

Preferably pick a noise canceling headphone set as this will allow you to block out any unwanted noise on the plane or during any commutes. My favorite would be any from the Beats by Dre range however many brag about headphones from Sony and Bose.

5. A snazzy carry on – Bluesmart One

Now, this is definitely on the pricier side however, this luxury carry-on includes two USB ports that allow you to charge your phone six times over and the built-in sim card allows you to track it wherever it is so you will never lose your luggage. Now, this is something you can definitely travel without but having a charger connected to your carry on and a tracking device all in one can definitely make traveling a lot easier.

6. Internet Hotspot/ Portable WiFi

You’ll never be without an internet connection with a gadget like this, especially when you need it the most! So you don’t have to worry about not having enough connection to find your way around or research the best food place near your location.

7. Camera/Video Recorder

You don’t want to miss out on any of the memories or moments you witness and so a camera and video recorder is a travel must-have! This way you will never forget any part of your journey.

8. A decent smartphone

These days having a phone on you is essential for getting around and keeping in contact with people. Having a decent smartphone is so important when travelling because you need to be sure it’ll work abroad and last as long as you need it to. Plus apps such as Maps seem to be very much needed when travelling and I believe without it I know a lot of people would get lost very easily!

9. Headphone Jack Splitter

If you’re sticking to regular earphones then this is a great way to share what you are listening to with your travel companions! Music has a wonderful way of connecting us and we often associate good memories with good songs that we listened to at that time. Make sure you and your friends/family are listening to the same playlist so you can all associate the same songs with the same memories.

10. Electronic Luggage Scale

Whatever you do, make sure you have a luggage scale with you. Don’t let yourself roll up to the airport only to find out your baggage is overweight and you have to pay the extra fees. This is one of the best travel gadgets out there!
