Even though the restaurant does not offer RSVP and operates on a first come, first serve seating. There are actually currently two locations in Greensboro one on Spring Garden Street and Lawndale Drive. Do not be apprehensive about the line because the food and service are worth the wait. Especially if you are looking for the best burger, you can find within the city than Hops Burger Bar has you covered. Along with exceptional service that will never have a disappointing experience. The restaurant uses the finest ingredients and locally grown ingredients to create their great burger selection. Don’t worry if you do not know what you want to try, there is an option to try the weekly featured burger. While you are there, try an order of fries from the wall of fries, you will not be disappointed.

2. Scrambled Southern Diner

If you want to have breakfast or brunch and leave feeling full after leaving, Scrambled Southen Diner is where you need to go. The diner has been ranked #1 by Trip Advisor as a place to dine in Greensboro. The breakfast menu consists of biscuits, breakfast sandwiches, breakfast platters, omelets, and breakfast specialties. The breakfast menu is served all day. The produced for the menu is locally sourced. Not an early breakfast person. The lunch menu has a variety of different sandwiches and entrees that you are going to want to try. You can also try the blue plate special of the day if you are having a hard time deciding on what to pick. No matter what you choose for breakfast or lunch, you will be pleased with the meal. The diner located right next to Hops Burger Bar. Scrambled Southern Diner has a similar setup with not being able to RSVP and first come first serve seating. There is also outdoor seating. Just like Hops Burger Bar, there is usually a line and await to be able to eat. 

3. Dames Chicken and Waffles

Dames Chicken and Waffles is in the heart of the downtown Greensboro area. As you can probably guess by the name of the restaurant, they mastered the specialty of chicken and waffles. Dames Chicken and Waffles has other options as well for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.  The restaurant has salads, fish inspired meals, and sides that are motivated by southern foods too. I would recommend on your visit to Dames Chicken and Waffles to try the shmears on your waffles. The shmears will have you wanting more waffles with the rich tastes of either strawberry-creme, chocolate-hazelnut, maple-pecan, baby-blueberry, vanilla-almonds, orange-honeycomb, and peach-apricot. There are also vegan options for waffles that are worth trying out. This place is worth the visit. There is outdoor seating as well. The restaurant has great food that is reasonably priced and excellent service. Make sure you give this restaurant a try the next time you are in the Greensboro area.

4. Bites and Pints Gastro Pub

The Bites and Pints Gastro Pub is a restaurant and bar that is focused on having a good time. The restaurant offers menu options of salad, hotdogs, melts, and many other options as well.  The Bites and Pints Gastro Pub uses only high quality food to create their menu. The fresh ingredients will make each bite leaving you wanting another and another. There are several specials each night throughout the night. There are weekly and late-night specials to choose from. Since there is no set close time, you may have a longer opportunity to partake in the $5.00 late-night specials. There is also a full bar with over 60 craft beers to try if you are into drinking casually. The Bites and Pints Gastro Pub is a great place to host your parties. There is a reservation required for parties, Monday thru Thursday. Where your guests can enjoy great burgers, beer, and service.  The restaurant is located on the other side of the Hops Burger Bar. Take some time on your visit and stop by and give them a shot, you will not be disappointed with the experience.

5. Emma Key

Emma Keys is a restaurant that is located off of Walker Ave. The restaurant is the creator of classic flat top grilled burgers. Emma Keys offers some of the best burger options in the City of Greensboro with four different patty option, hamburger, vegan cake, vegan veggie burgers, and vegan patties. The restaurant offers a variety of burgers identified by set names. There are 14 different selections to choose from, and they are all worth trying. If you are looking for a side that you are going to fall in love with it, the sweet potato fries are a must try. There is also milkshake options, and the mint chocolate chip is worth having on your next visit. It does take a bit of time to receive your food, but the old saying is perfection takes time. So trust me the wait is worth it. There is outdoor seating as well as friendly staff. Emma Keys is one place that you are going to want to come back to anytime you are in Greensboro.
