University is an exciting yet confusing time period. There are so many little things that if you forget to bring, can be a nightmare. Here is my list of 20 things you would never have thought to bring to RMIT\u00a0that you may have overlooked. These things will help make uni so much easier!<\/p>\n
One thing all university students have in common is how inconsistent class timetables will be. Make sure to bring snacks for in-between classes or even during lectures (just make sure it\u2019s mess and smell free).<\/p>\n
You will constantly be using your phone or even if you forget to charge your phone the night before, make sure you pack a charger since there\u2019s a power point everywhere on campus.<\/p>\n
If you want to study with some music or just have some me-time and watch some YouTube, make sure you bring some earphones so you don\u2019t disturb your peers (or else they\u2019ll be a very angry stalker space post written about you).<\/p>\n
Unless you want to use the 1ply toilet paper, make sure to bring your own tissues, your friends will thank you.<\/p>\n
Your peers will thank you later.<\/p>\n
It gets chilly in there in the summer, since they amp up on the AC. It’s \u00a0one of the best things to bring to RMIT.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s Melbourne, need I say more.<\/p>\n
You\u2019ll be constantly losing them, lending them and maybe even get them stolen. Make sure you\u2019re prepared.<\/p>\n
Most of the shops on campus only accept cash. Make sure you cash on you, if you want a quick coffee break in-between classes.<\/p>\n
Stay hydrated, it\u2019ll keep your brain from sleeping.<\/p>\n
If you think you had a lot of assignments to write during in high school, then be prepared to write that three times that in university. You\u2019ll probably be writing a paper each week, working on group projects, labs and power point presentations. You\u2019ll be working on different computers in different buildings. Instead of emailing every document to yourself, invest in a USB. It\u2019s small enough to fit into your bag, and you\u2019ll never miss turning in an assignment.<\/p>\n

For all those staying on campus, things you might want to consider bringing from home.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n Living on campus, you\u2019ll get invited to many themed parties. Don\u2019t spend any more than you have to hiring costumes, stressing out hours before the event, bring what you have from home.<\/p>\n Thongs are essential, especially since you may be sharing a bathroom with 5 others. It can also double up as a quick shoe option, when you\u2019re running late.<\/p>\n Your phone alarm won\u2019t be enough. An alarm clock will get you up for a 9am lecture even when your brain is telling you to stay in bed for 5 more minutes.<\/p>\n Stay on top of your assignments, jot down the dates in your diary or if you\u2019re a techy use your phone\u2019s calendar.<\/p>\n Bring a torch in case there\u2019s a power cut.<\/p>\n Decorate your bedroom to make it more Tumblr inspired. Fairy lights will make your dull room look more homely.<\/p>\n For all those rips and tears, that happen more often than they should.<\/p>\n Save some money by drying your clothes in a rack rather than using a campus dryer, that don\u2019t work properly. It also doubles as a place to put a quick outfit change, so you don\u2019t have to stress the morning of your 9am lecture and be late.<\/p>\n You will no longer be having your own room, sharing a room can be full of surprises. They might snore, come home from parties late or listen to extremely loud music. A sleeping mask and ear plugs are a priority to bring to RMIT.
