As 2017 draws to a close, it is the perfect time to reflect on the jewellery trends over the past 12 months. There have been some hits and some misses (in my opinion), but, without further ado, let’s have a look at the top 10 jewellery trends of 2017!<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

1. Keep up the up-cycling<\/h2>\n

This one is definitely thinking outside the hoop (get it?), and I think it makes for some pretty cool, unique looks! The picture below has inspired me to try making earrings out of Starburst wrappers… I’ll keep you updated.<\/p>\n

2. Monograms are marvellous<\/h2>\n

For anyone who knows me, they know I love a good monogram. Whether that comes in the form of a wallet accessory or a necklace, I think monograms are classy and are fantastic for those heartfelt gift ideas.<\/p>\n

3. Get cuffed to arm cuffs<\/h2>\n

This one is ideal for a night out when you have gone for a simple dress and are looking to spice up your look with a statement piece. You are basically guaranteed to get comments on this different style of jewellery!<\/p>\n

4. Hand bracelets are just handy<\/h2>\n

For another statement piece that will leave you standing out from the crowd, why not try to get a hand bracelet to complement your ensemble? These decorated\u00a0trinkets are a great addition to a formal outfit.<\/p>\n

5. Mix and match is for more than just the lolly aisle<\/h2>\n

This is one of those trends where I feel you either love it or hate it…. I have to admit I may lean towards the latter. Regardless of my opinion, the mixing and matching of statement earrings is very on trend right now!<\/p>\n

6. You’ve got the key to my heart (and my wallet)<\/h2>\n

When I saw this photo, it was just one of those moments where you go ‘wow’! I think these styles of\u00a0necklaces are absolutely stunning and make for an ideal present for a loved one. How could you not fall in love with these?<\/p>\n

7. Unusual is the new usual<\/h2>\n

This one is something a little different, just going for something that no one else could possibly have! You could make it yourself using something that holds meaning to you, or just head to your nearest op shop and search for something a little unusual.<\/p>\n

8. Sometimes less is more<\/h2>\n

This is something we often hear when it comes to fashion, and often it’s true. If you want the dress or outfit you are wearing to be the statement, try pairing it with\u00a0something more reserved so it just completes the look rather than overwhelming it.<\/p>\n

9. UFO necklaces are out of this World<\/h2>\n

This is surely the most out-there trend of them all! UFO necklaces, where each earring is connected by a decorated chain under your neck is a very interesting fashion trend. I would love to see what people would wear this with outside of fashion week!<\/p>\n

10. Nature is the new chic<\/h2>\n

This is one of the sweetest trends I have seen this year, and one that I have definitely taken part in. Leaves or flowers make the cutest jewellery trends, and the options are endless.<\/p>\n

So, there we have it – A look at the 10 best jewellery trends of 2017. I know when I was researching this topic, I found quite a few trends that I haven’t seen within my friends’ ensembles yet… but, who knows, maybe one day?<\/h2>\n
