One of the fastest growing cities in Australia, the Gold Coast sees about 13 million visitors each year and it\u2019s no surprise why. The list could go on, however here are 10 of the top reasons to visit the Gold Coast.<\/p>\n

1. Life\u2019s a beach<\/h2>\n

Spanning along 57km of coastline, the Gold Coast is definitely the perfect place to spend a day sunbathing, swimming or surfing. Some popular ones include Broadbeach, Main Beach, Nobby Beach, Surfers Paradise Beach and Coolangatta Beach. If getting your feet sandy isn\u2019t for you, you can always take a nice stroll along the footpath and look over the ocean. This is the main reasons people usually visit the Gold Coast, along with Surfer’s Paradise.<\/p>\n

2. 2018 Commonwealth Games<\/h2>\n

In April next year, the Commonwealth Games will be held in the Gold Coast. With 275 sporting events and 70 nations competing, there will be a lot of visitors in the city. Fun fact: this will be the first Commonwealth Games to have an equal amount of male and female events.<\/p>\n
