Why You Should Move To Adelaide After A Heart Break

If you’ve had your heart broken, you’re probably feeling confused, lonely, and needing a fresh start. It can be hard to move on, but new surroundings and a challenge can help you distance yourself both physically and emotionally from that ex. Plus, think of all the great new people you’ll get to meet! Read on to find out why you should move to Adelaide.

Maybe I’m biased, but I think Adelaide is a great place to heal a broken heart, and here’s why:

We’re laid back and approachable:

As a smaller city, Adelaide’s inhabitants are less caught up in the busy rush. In big cities there can be a lot of competition and superficiality, but in Adelaide people take the time to relax, to get to know each other, and to try out fun activities in their free time. What does that mean for you? You can approach a stranger and more often than not, they’re friendly and happy to talk. So find a cute guy and ask him where to get a good burger in town!

Adelaide is close-knit:

If you know one person in Adelaide, you soon know their friends, their friends-of-friends, and so on. It’s a super common Adelaide thing to ask anyone ‘do you know so-and-so?’ and find out that you have at least one friend in common (usually more!). This makes it easy to meet people and get set up on dates, plus, when you’re on a date you can talk about people you both know to break the ice.

It’s a gorgeous place:

Aside from being a great place to meet that new flame, Adelaide is also just a generally awesome place to live. You can go from hiking up a mountain to a great beach with a 15-minute drive. There’s heaps of things to do, and they’re all easy to get to, so you can make heaps of great weekend plans and try everything out. What better way to get over a guy than hiking up Mount Lofty (google it if you’re unfamiliar!) at sunrise?

It’s both a small town and a big city:

If you’re from a small town, you’ll like Adelaide because it’s modern and interesting, but because it’s still small enough to feel like a community, you won’t feel overwhelmed. And if you’re used to big city life, you’ll love that Adelaide has a more laid-back vibe, but still has those shopping centres, restaurants and cool cafes you’re used to. Wherever you’re from, Adelaide is great place for a new start, and you’ll quickly settle in and feel comfortable.

Whether you’re looking to meet a new guy or take some time to focus on yourself.

Adelaide is a great place to go. It has a relaxed vibe, a tonne of things to do and everyone is super friendly. Moving on is always difficult, but a fresh start and a great new place to explore will definitely speed up the process, so let Adelaide heal your broken heart!
