It can be quite a challenge to find good quality skincare items that do not break the bank. The perceived notion is that the more expensive a product is, the better it will work for your skin. This is not the case! There are so many great products you can get at the drugstore, and here are ten affordable skincare products that you should try out.
Cleansing is a very important step in your skincare routine. It removes dirt, excess oil, or any last traces of makeup off of your face.
The CeraVe Renewing SA Cleanser is one of the best affordable skincare products you will find at the drugstore. This product is gentle on the skin, and it contains salicylic acid which will help clean out pores, and thus, fight and prevent breakouts.
You can shop this product at Target, Ulta, CVS, and pretty much every other drugstore out there. It retails for around $10!

The Neutrogena Hydro Boost Cleanser is another great cleansing option. This product contains hyaluronic acid, which will help your skin retain moisture. It is formulated without sulfates, parabens, oils, and dyes.

Niacinamide has become such a popular skincare product in the past few years. The Ordinary offers their 10% Niacinamide serum at a price of around $6.
A little goes a long way with this product, so the bottle will last you a while. Niacinamide has so many different benefits for your skin. It can regulate your skin’s oil production, fight and treat any breakouts, treat hyperpigmentation, and reduce redness.
All skin types can use Niacinamide. I recommend starting off using this product a few times a week, and then work your way up to using it every night.

Differin Gel is great for acne prone skin. Not to mention, Differin is the first and only FDA approved prescription strength retinoid, but you can get it without a prescription!
It contains Adapalene at 0.1%, and can prevent and clear blackheads, whiteheads, blemishes, and clogged pores. Apply a thin layer of this product at night after cleansing, and follow up with a moisturizer.
Differin retails for around $28, which is on the pricer side of drugstore products, but it lasts around three to four months so you would definitely be getting your money’s worth.

Even if you have oily skin, you need to apply a moisturizer. Everybody does! As you can probably tell, CeraVe has a lot of affordable skincare products. Their Daily Moisturizing Lotion contains ceramides and hyaluronic acid that keep your skin super hydrated.
It is also formulated without oil and fragrance, so it is great for people with sensitive skin. You can find this product at the drugstore for around $16. I use this product every night, and one of these bottles has lasted me several months!

Sunscreen is one product that is often overlooked, but trust me, you need it! Apply sunscreen every single morning to protect your skin from sun damage. This product has SPF 70.

The Ordinary is another brand that offers SO many different affordable skincare products. Their whole line is amazing and I recommend checking out all of their products, even the ones I have not mentioned here.
Their AHA and BHA Peeling Solution is a chemical exfoliant, and it will help with texture on your skin, as well as congested pores. Doing a patch test is highly recommended when using this product for the first time, to make sure you do not have any serious reaction to it.
Use in the night time, around once a week, and only leave on for 5-10 minutes. Make sure you follow up with a moisturizer!

E.L.F is one of my favorite brands. They not only have super inexpensive makeup products, but they have a great line of affordable skincare products! Their Cleansing Balm is only $10, and you get a big tub of it. You can find E.L.F at Target!
If you wear makeup, you need to make sure you are removing it completely at the end of the night. Using a cleansing balm is perfect for this. Rub in the balm just like you would with a normal cleanser, and you will see the makeup fade away in seconds! Rinse off and then follow up with a facial cleanser.

This is one of the best face masks I have ever used. The clay in this mask is bentonite clay from Death Valley, California. To use, you mix apple cider vinegar with a small amount of the powder clay and you’re good to go!
