Austin Summer Concerts That You Have To Check Out

With summer right around the corner, the music capital of Texas is truly about to thrive. There will be no shortage of concerts and/or festival to attend. With so many, it can get a little overwhelming to figure out which ones you absolutely have to go to. Yes, I know, they’re all necessary, but there are so many in Austin over the summer. These are the Austin summer concerts that you have to check out if you want to avoid the dreaded FOMO.

Blues On The Green

This summer, head over to Zilker Park for one of the largest free outdoor concerts in central Texas. You’re going to want to pack a towel and maybe some snacks since the line for the concessions can be longer than the line for the bathroom. But once you’re there, all you have to do is take a seat on the green grass and listen to some awesome music surrounded by the best vibes Austin has to offer. If you want, you can push closer to the front for the pique auditory experience, or you can just chill way out there in the back with your friends. Either way, this is a fun experience and you’ll make some awesome memories. There are also a ton free concerts just like this one to check out this summer as well. Just stay tuned for those announcements!

Float Fest 2019

A little south of Austin is the annual Float Fest and this is the epitome of a Texas concert. Located right on the San Marcos river, you’re going to need an inner tube to participate. So grab your squad and BYOB and head to the river as quick as you can this summer. This festival features artists like Lil Wayne, Cashmere Cat, Snoop Dogg, Tame Impala, and so many more. You haven’t done a concert in Austin until you’ve done a Float Fest. Trust me.

Fleetwood Mac

Excuse me while I scream. Fleetwood Mac is coming back to Austin for the second time this year. After their tour stop here in February, it looks like they’re coming back this September. Having missed them in February, you can bet I’m planning on seeing them this time around. It’s the perfect concert to close out your own personal summer concert series.
