Glamping has been taking over as a new trendy and often more cleanly way to enjoy the great outdoors. You get the perks of being in nature, without having to sleep on the cold damp floor with all the bugs. However, most popular glamping sites take the winter season off and close us shop, much to our dismay! Glamping in the winter can be ten times more magical, waking up to snow covered grounds and trees, sipping hot cocoa under the stars. These 10 glamping campgrounds have listened to our gripes and are open during the cold months, yay! Visit one or even a few of these best glamping campgrounds this winter break!

Peaceful Cedar Greenhouse near Silverton, Oregon

This cute glamping site is setup cabin style, and has a host of amenities that can serve your every glamping desire. Most notably, a hot tub… inside your cabin! Take a long hot soak in the hot tub before going to bed and you will feel ultra relaxed. While they do have heaters, it still does get a little chilly in the winter so pack appropriately. Other exceptional amenities include a fire pit, private bathroom facilities, and a sun room. This is one of the best glamping campgrounds if your looking for a quiet, peaceful weekend.

Under Canvas Tucson

Tucson may be one best places to have a glamping campground because the climate is warmer and drier than most other cities during the winter. Under Canvas Tucson offers a variety of tent packages and activities to all of its guests. All tents are equipped with a wood stove to keep you toasty, while some of their tents even offer a clear opening above the bed so you can gaze at the stars above the desert sky. A few of the activities they offer are hiking, horseback riding, yoga and sand volleyball. The more luxurious the tent, the higher the cost, so grab your whole gang and chip in for the nicest one! You all deserve a pampered winter glamping vacation!

Geo Dome, Upstate Catskills, NY

If you thought sleeping with a clear opening above your bed sounded like a dream, then this next spot will probably sound like heaven! This Geo Dome is actually an Airbnb, located on a farm. The owner rents it out, along with tiny houses, so this space is ideal if your planning a large friends trip this winter break. Guests are encouraged to explore the whole property while they visit, all 12 acres of it! The property has a unique charm, and lots of farm animals to keep you company. Hang out with some sheep or go pet some adorable Angora bunnies and goats. This is one of the best glamping sites to check out this winter break.

Yurts in Monticello, Utah

This cute Yurt is fully insulated from floor to ceiling, making warming up in the winter a snap.  The site will also provide you with fire wood, in case your propane heaters aren’t warming you up quick enough. Lighting and appliances are all solar powered and the shower is a green “shower house” making this Yurt very environmentally friendly. The site is not equipped with WiFi, so if you can’t live without your digital services, I’d skip this site. Not a problem? Definitely check them out! These adorable Yurts are perfect for a true outdoor experience (i.e. seclusion, quiet) but without all the nonsense (i.e.freezing to death at night).

Glamping Tree House, Monterrey Bay, California

The little kid in us will rejoice when staying at this next site. This Glamping Tree House in the Santa Cruz Mountains will let us live out all our tree house living dreams. While staying in this cute little tree house, you can go explore the Redwood Forests, or swing by the beach and sit on the sand. It’s located in the mountains, but close enough to Santa Cruz and the Monterrey Bay area, if you want to venture out to restaurants, shops, and bars. When you return from all your adventures in the area, come home to sit on the tree house deck and spend the night in your own private hot tub, getting warm under the trees. It’s a glamping site that will make even Peter Pan and the Lost boys jealous. We think this is one of the best glamping campgrounds!

The Ranch at Rock Creek, Montana

This glamping site offers a variety of different canvas style cabins throughout the year, however during the winter months they only offer the Trapper and Sweet Grass Cabins. These are two of their nicest cabins, and both offer gas stoves to keep you warm your entire stay. Both canvas style cabins also offer their own kitchens, but if cooking is not something you want to do on your vacation, head on into their dining lodges for some chef prepared culinary treats. The Ranch also provides an extensive list of activities to do while you visit that includes yoga, skiing and snowboarding, ice skating, and sleigh rides.
