I Tried Using Sex Lubricants And Here’s What Happened

Sex lubricants can add a lot to your sex life. From edible lubes to warming lubes, there are options all over the place. Here's what I think!

I think there’s a rumor going around that if you use sex lubricants you’ve got a broken pussy problem or something. That’s a lie. Some people just use lubes for fun and some just need to spice things up. I actually happen to be one of those people. It’s cool, I can speak on it. I don’t think the experience of using sex lubricants is weird or unusual. A lot of people use them. It doesn’t goes the same for everyone through, so doing your research and learning about the product is important. I’ll share some of my experience and hopefully you can avoid some troubles. I tried using sex lubricants, and here’s what happened.

You know there’s different kinds of sex lubricants.

Edible, warming, oil-based, gel-based, water-based, and organic. To name a few. I’ve tried a few different kinds and will share my experience with some in particular. They didn’t all go over well. Take notice if you’re just getting into the lube game and want to avoid sexual catastrophe. These tips can really help.

I’ve tried using the sex lubricants that are edible and I, unfortunately, am not into them.

This could be a personal thing, I don’t know. But the idea of putting something on your body to have it licked off, that isn’t food, is just weird to me; and I wouldn’t want to make my partner go through tasting something that isn’t delicious either. Maybe it’s just the hood in me, but I’d have more fun with condiments from my fridge, to be honest. Besides, you don’t put syrup on top of syrup anyway. Good hygiene and eating habits will give you a naturally tasty and fresh flavor that your partner will enjoy (a whole other topic). If you want to see for yourself, however, they have tons of brands you can try like FruitopiaSex Tarts, and Pussy Lickers.

Another type of sex lube I’ve tried is the warming kind.

These are actually a favorite of mine. They really make sex fun and enjoyable. They make the preferred areas become more slippery, as is usual with sex lubricants, but as a plus they don’t go on cold. They give you a nice warm sensation when applied. And warm sex is a good thing. I’ve used the Durex brand and this works for me. I’ve read somewhere that Liquid Sex is supposed to be efficient too. I’ve also read that there are organic brands, but once I find something I like I stick with it. So I’m good for now. Me and my Durex warming gel are best friends! Warming sex lubricants are fun in winter time when everything is cold, good for private massages and rub downs, and are a wonder for self-pleasure if you’ve got the time.

I hate to shut any brands down, but there is one that was a total nuisance.

It was a gel-based kind that was dumb sticky. You should totally avoid these at all costs; especially if annoyances get you quickly turned off. I know everything is trial and error, but don’t test out gel-based sex lubricants at a time when your eager for satisfaction. Because if they don’t suit you, you’ll have to kill the mood by getting up and washing it off, just so you can continue as normal. Try them when you’re on your own and have nothing better to do. Fortunately for me, I’m as easily turned on as off. I won’t say what brand. Which makes this hard, because not ALL gell-based sex lubricants are bad. So make sure to test them out first.

You should always pay attention to the warnings when using lubricants.

I’ve read some articles online that recommend using lubes as often as possible, but actually if used too much they can dry you out. It says it right there on the label. So you do have to be careful which kind you choose. Also if you’re sensitive in that area and prone to issues you should probably speak to a doctor before deciding to use them long term. Some lubricants can even enhance chances to get STD’s because they make it easier for condoms to break! Always do your research before buying and use with caution. I barely use lubricants because I want to keep the effects of them as a surprise or a special occasion. That way when I do, it’s like whoah…niiiice…

My overall experience with using sex lubricants has been exceptional. My best advice to anyone planning on trying them is to read the labels before you buy, and to try it on your own before using it during sex! That way there’s no surprises! Leave a comment if you agree!
