In school, almost everything comes with a due date : midterms, finals, semesters, among others. In the real world, you make your own schedule, which is an entirely different monster of its own. It’s okay to take your time on whatever aspect of your life you are on right now! Start writing that dream book or working on the short film that has been in the back of your mind!

2. Self Care is Important

This is a big one after graduating university. During school, there is a big goal you are working towards– a completed degree. But once that goal is done, internal pressures start to settle in and you may feel like a failure in your career before even really starting it. Learn to take time out of your day or your week to reflect and remind yourself that you are still a work in progress. Remember to take care of your body, start a journal or diary, and treat yourself to the occasional treat. You deserve it, babe!
