1. Love your family and friends.
The holiday season is the perfect time to spend quality time with your family and friends. Fully appreciate every little moment, and fully love them. You’ll foster your emotional health, too, so it’s a win-win.
2. Take it easy.
Give love, and receive love. Spending time with family and friends is essential, but remember to treat yourself, too. Find a balance that works for you.
3. Catch up on sleep.
You finally have time to relax! Take advantage of this glorious opportunity, and get a full night’s rest, every night.
4. Keep warm.
Baby, it’s cold outside. You can elect to snuggle with someone, grab a cozy blanket, or wear a soft sweater.
5. Stock up on healthy foods.
Take a trip to the grocery store and collect some fruits and vegetables. You’ll eat a lot during the holidays, so you might as well toss some healthy foods into the mix.
6. Re-gift any not-so-healthy gives you receive.
If anyone gifts you some sort of unhealthy food, such as chocolates or candy, wrap them right back up and send them to a frenemy. ’Nuff said. But really, though: Pace yourself when you indulge in any presents you get.
7. Get your annual checkups during the holidays.
It’s cheaper to see your doctor in December if you meet your deductible beforehand. This applies to optometrists, too. Plus, you finally have some free time so take advantage and get all those doctor visits out of the way.
8. Brush your teeth.
Just because you’re relaxing, doesn’t mean you’re off the hook. Your daily routines are just as important during the holidays.
