We all know that doing your hair the same way every day starts to get a little boring. Most of the time people choose not to style their hair because they are worried it will be too time consuming. Fortunately, there are numerous hairstyles you can construct in five minutes or less. So don’t run out of the door on those busy mornings with a heaping nest of locks shoved into an elastic band, try out one of these quick and easy (and incredibly chic) hairstyles instead!
1. Braided Bun
For a fun twist on the trendy top knot, split your high ponytail into two sections and braid each. Twist these braids in opposite directions towards each other and wrap around the elastic, securing the ends with bobby pins.
2. Sock Bun
If you don’t have the sock bun product they sell in stores, you can simply cut the toe off a pair of old socks and roll the tube of the sock to form a nice circle. From here, put the rolled sock at the base of your ponytail and cover with the loose strands of your ponytail, tucking them under with bobby pins. If your hair is super long, whatever pieces are sticking out, braid and wrap around the base of your bun.
3. Quick Curls
Throw your hair into a high ponytail and split into two sections. Curl each section with a curling iron, release your hair from the elastic band and voila!
4. Half-Up Top Kno
Very similar to the regular top knot, this hairstyle is all about the twist and tuck. Take a handful of hair on each side of your head, gathering it at the back and twist. Create a knot, tucking the ends underneath and fasten with bobby pins.
5. Tuck and Cover
One of the easiest hairstyles of the bunch, all you need to do for this one is wrap a headband around your head and tuck all of your hair up and around the band, section by section. No one would ever know it took you less than 5 minutes to do!
