5 Fall Outfits To Wear This Semester

With the cooler weather coming in, it’s time for a little wardrobe change. The season change opens the doors to so many outfit options that you can show off in class this semester! Here are five fall outfits to wear this semester that, after adding your own unique touches, will keep you stylish all season long.

1. Girly

There are a lot ways to combine a dress with fall essentials. One of my favorites is to pair a short, basic dress with an open sweater and booties. Knee boots are a great option with short dresses as well. If it’s too cold to go bare, most short dresses look fantastic with tights. When adding extra layers, try throwing on a belt to accentuate your waist.

2. Cozy

A scarf is the perfect accessory to add to just about any outfit in the chilly weather. Not only is it practical, but it can dress up (or down) your style in one fell swoop. Scarves can add a pop of color to an otherwise bland outfit, while patterned scarves offer character. Infinity scarfs look great and they are easier to wear, but pashmina is a good alternative on warmer days as they tend to look more elegant with their light weight material.

3. Comfy

An over sized sweater is cute and comfortable for class, hanging out in the dorm, or just taking a walk around campus. Invest in a well made, basic sweater (make sure it’s comfortable!) that you can combine with jeans, leggings and skirts.

4. Trendy

Turtlenecks are coming back this year, and I couldn’t be more excited! They are a great layering piece, giving an edgy look when worn under certain items.  Try pairing a turtleneck with an over-sized coat and a cute pair of booties.

5. Classic

Plaid is a staple print for the fall, as it remains tried and true year after year. The best part about plaid button ups is that they look great with just about anything you pair them with. Try to stick to just one plaid item when you arrange your outfit to avoid looking to matchy-matchy.
