1. Get Enough Sleep

Getting enough sleep is one of the most important things on this list! Not getting enough sleep causes a whole whirlwind of problems in itself, and it will definitely have a negative impact on your school life and cause more stress.

Not sleeping enough will cause anxiety, stress, and even may lead to depression so it’s really important to stay on top of it. We know it can be hard to get the amount you need with the balance of work and social life, but all the other times on this list will help you learn to manage so that you can get the proper amount.


2. Stay Active

Staying active is a good way to learn to manage stress throughout your entire life so why not start to make it a habit now? Even if you go outside and take a walk for 15 minutes it can help you clear your mind and focus on something else rather than the stress and anxiety of school.

It’s also a great way to hang out with friends but still do something productive. Also exercising is just good for you! It’ll help you feel like you accomplished something in the day and it’ll give you the energy boost you need to conquer the day!

7. Manage Your Finances

During college especially it’s important to manage your finances. Write down all the bills you have to pay for the month and subtract from the money you’ll have and then find out what you have extra and don’t spend over.

That is some of the most important advice you can take with you for the rest of your life is how to be financially smart. Even if you do have extra money at the end of the month that doesn’t mean you have to spend it all! Put it away in a savings account and set it aside for more important things.

8. Engage In Your Hobbies

In order to keep yourself sane, it’s important to stay true to yourself and continue to do the things that you love. College is a stressful time all around and if you don’t get out and enjoy life a little then you’ll definitely wind up stressed and you’ll be feeling lost.

Having a support system especially if you’ve moved out of state for college is so important. It can be easy to feel lonely and overwhelmed with all this newfound responsibility. It’s important that you have people that you trust in your life that you can confide in.

Not only that but college is a time for self-discovery so put yourself out there, you could meet some of the best people in your life. They can help you have so much fun that you won’t have time to feel stressed.

It is so so so important to learn how to manage your time. It can be easy to get so wrapped up in things especially when you’re stressed and just waste too much time on it. If you do this often you’ll feel yourself slacking off in areas of your life and more stressed trying to fix them.

Surround yourself with people who understand your goals and what’s important to you, and people who won’t get upset when you have to stay in to study rather than going out. It’ll save you a lot of stress down the road later.

Different study methods work for everyone. Know yourself and figure out what works best for you to succeed. Get a study body if you work better in a pair, join a group if you like to collaborate, or study all on your own. Just make sure to do what benefits you the most so that you can succeed.

You’re young, you’re going through new experiences, and you’re about to have some of the best times of your life. Don’t lose touch with yourself and remember to live life to the fullest.
