10 Skin Care Essentials Every College Girl Should Own

Whether you’re a beauty buff or a never-wear-makeup type of gal, taking care of your skin is something every woman needs to do, at every age. But for us college girls, it’s hard enough to find time to study for that exam tomorrow, never mind set aside time to give ourselves a nice pampering (although we totally deserve it). That’s why it is so important to have a few skin care essentials on hand that will help keep your skin looking young and fresh…even on the busiest of days. Here are 10 skin care essentials that every girl should own.

1. Formula 10.0.6 Face Mask

Every college girl should be treating herself to a weekly face mask. My favorite mask to use is the “Get Your Glow On” by Formula 10.0.6. After using this mask my skin is left smooth, my complexion is even, and my pores feel tighter.

2. Neutrogena Makeup Wipes

College girls are on the go; were either coming from class or going to class. Makeup wipes are my savior and they will be yours too. These wipes help me maintain skin health, while thoroughly removing my makeup. Waterproof mascara doesn’t stand a chance.

3. Clean & Clear Acne Spot Treatment

This is one of my skin care essentials MUST-HAVE. Again, it’s perfect for the college girl who is on the go. Whenever I get a pimple, I immediately put this spot treater on it. My pimples are gone IN LESS THAN 24 HRS.

4. Nature’s Bounty Hair, Skin & Nails Gummies

This is my best kept beauty secret. I have seen major results in the health of my skin and hair over the past six months due to this vitamin. I eat two gummies after dinner, daily. They are high in biotin, but are balanced. This means no pimples. Take care of your skin from the inside out with these skin care essentials (and guess what – they taste good too).

5. Water

You probably wouldn’t have even considered water as one of the top 10 skin care essentials – but in actuality, it should probably be number on the list! Something about college makes me thirsty all the time…to my benefit, water not only keeps me hydrated but it helps to keep my skin clear. If I drink too many sodas, energy drinks, or iced lattes; I get pimples and acid spots on my skin. Most people don’t drink enough water, and the results (particularly on your skin) are not ideal. So drink up, ladies.

6. Organic Coconut Oil

This is my personal favorite on the skin care essentials list due to the numerous benefits of coconut oil. It acts as a non-ageing agent and it moisturizes skin. I feel so confident when using coconut oil because I know it is the healthiest product I could use on my skin. (P.S. when I need a change in my skin care routine I substitute coconut oil and a warm rag as a makeup remover.)

7. Dry Body Brush

If you are prone to ingrown hairs like me, you should invest in a dry body scrubber. Dry scrubbing your body is known to exfoliate dead skin and can even reduce cellulite. After dry scrubbing my top layer of skin, it feels incredibly refreshed and my pores nice and airy.

8. Mario Badescu Face Spray

This product serves as a toner, but can also be used as a primer or a makeup setting spray. I use this spray to refresh and hydrate my face during the summer, or winter (my skin is most vulnerable during the seasonal changes). I am most happy when using this spray after an intense workout. My face immediately feels clean and glowing (and not because of sweat)!

9. Bath & Body Works Lip Balm (Peppermint)

Lips are often left behind in the dust when it comes to skin care routines, but they matter just as much, if not more. This lip balm leaves my dry and cracked lips moisturized, fresh, and supple…and should definitely be added to your collection of skin care essentials!

10. DIY Sugar Scrub

I don’t like to use a lot of harsh products on my skin which is why I find this DIY sugar scrub perfect for my skin – it’s all natural! I use organic raw brown sugar, organic lemons, and organic raw honey. I then scrub my face with this for a minute and wash off. My skin is always left soft, smooth and exfoliated.
