We all have those moments when we don’t have time to run to the cafe for breakfast, the store for something to pamper ourselves with, or the mall for that last perfect present. Ladies and Gents, I present to you 10 Mason Jar Recipes that are PERFECT for just about any occasion. Whether you’re looking for a quick meal on the go, a DIY Spa makeover for you and your besties, or just eyeing that one person you have left on your Christmas list, look below for some ideas on whatever you’ll need!

1. Overnight Oats

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup unsweetened plain almond milk
  • 3/4 Tbsp chia seeds
  • 2 Tbsp natural salted peanut butter or almond butter (creamy or crunchy)
  • 1 Tbsp maple syrup (or sub coconut sugar, organic brown sugar, or stevia to taste)
  • 1/2 cup gluten free rolled oats

Directions:

  1. Add almond milk, chia seeds, peanut butter, and maple syrup (or other sweetener) to mason jar and stir with a spoon to combine.
  2. Add oats and stir until saturated.
  3. Cover securely with a lid or plastic wrap and set in the refrigerator overnight (or for at least 6 hours).
  4. The next day, open and enjoy as is, or garnish with fruits, nuts or granola.

2. Chicken Taco Salad

Ingredients:

  • First (bottom) layer: 1/4 cup dressing (or salsa)
  • Second layer: 1/4 cup corn
  • Third layer: 1/4 cup black beans
  • Fourth layer: 1/4 cup diced tomatoes
  • Fifth layer: 1/2 cup chicken
  • Sixth layer: Any additional veggies
  • Top layer: 1/4 cup romaine lettuce

Directions:

  1. Basically all you have to do for this one is layer the ingredients and pop the mason jar in the fridge. Make a few of these to have on hand for those days when you’re in a hurry and need a quick lunch to grab and go!

3. Granola Breakfast

Ingredients:

  • 1/3 cup berries
  • 1/4 cup yogurt
  • 1/2 cup granola
  • 1/2 banana
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Directions:

  1. Layer each ingredient and enjoy!

4. Chocolate Almond Skinny Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 2 tbs almond butter
  • 2 tbs unsweetened cocoa
  • 1/2 banana
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups ice

Directions:

  1. Combine all the ingredients in a blender and mix.
  2. Blend until smooth and serve. Add additional chocolate drops if desired.

5. Apple Cinnamon Pancake

  • 3 cup flour
  • 2 tbs. sugar
  • 2 tbs. baking powder
  • 4 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 cup dried apple pieces

Directions:

  1. Combine dry ingredients in mixing bowl.
  2. Pour mixed ingredients into jar and seal.
  3. Print out instructions on how to make the pancakes, and attach to jar.
  4. Tie a cute little ribbon around the lid and give this to someone as a great last minute gift!

6. Peppermint Bath Salts

Ingredients:

  • 1 Cup Epsom Salt
  • 1 tbsp. Baking Soda
  • 4 drops Peppermint Essential Oil
  • 4 drops Red Food Coloring

Directions:

  1. In small bowl, mix together 1/2 cup Epsom Salt, 1/2 tbsp. Baking Soda, and 2 drops Peppermint Essential Oil. Stir well.
  2. In separate small bowl, mix together 1/2 cup Epsom Salt, 1/2 tbsp. Baking Soda, 2 drops Peppermint Essential Oil, and 4 drops Red Food Coloring. Stir well.
  3. Carefully spoon mixture into your favorite small jar, alternating colors for a candy cane like look!
  4. If pampering yourself… add approx. 1/2 cup of bath salts to your bath.

7. Coconut Oil Honey Hair Mask

Ingredients:

  • 2 parts coconut oil, melted
  • 2 parts honey
  • 1 part apple cider vinegar

Directions:

  1. Mix together 2 parts melted coconut oil, 2 parts honey, and 1 part apple cider vinegar.
  2. Pour into a microwaveable jar. The hair mask will naturally separate in the jar, Re-melt and stir before each application.

8. Vanilla Brown Sugar Hand and Foot Scrub

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 6 drops Vanilla Essential Oil

Directions:

  1. Combine ingredients and stir well.
  2. Transfer mixture to jar, and affix lid.
  3. Use when washing hands or pampering feet for smooth soft skin!

9. Hot Chocolate with a kick

Ingredients:

  • 2 packets of hot cocoa
  • 1/2 cups of mini-marshmallows
  • 1 bottles of mini Baileys (optional)
  • Candy canes, white chocolate or regular chocolate chips for garnish

Directions:

  1. Pour hot chocolate mix into the jar, filling about 1/3 – 1/2 full with cocoa. Then, stack marshmallows on top. Add other garnishes on top of marshmallows.
  2. Place the lid on top and tie a piece of twine or ribbon around the bottom of the lid.
  3. Carefully tie a small bottle of Baileys or Kahlua to the twine – the perfect treat for you OR a friend!

10. Mason Jar Cookies

  • 1 1/2 cups M&M’s
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar

Directions:

  1. Pour in the flour, baking soda and salt first. To make sure that the rest of the ingredients fit, you’ll need to pack this layer down.
  2. Now add the brown sugar, white sugar, and M&M’s in that order.
  3. Attach the directions to bake the cookies and decorate with any string, ribbon or material you want!
