1. Pitch the perfect tent arrangement.

Half of the fun of Floralia is planning the perfect tent arrangement with your friends! Make sure someone has the perfect canopy. Personalize it with camping chairs, flags…you name it!

Bonus points: If you bring your own speakers to play music in-between performances.

2. Plan the perfect outfit.

Plan your perfect outfit ahead of time. This time of year, it can be warm and sunny during the day, but once it gets dark, the temperature drops fast. Most students choose to wear festival-esque clothing during the day, and change into sweatshirts and pants at night. Go thrifting to find the most unique and colorful clothing. And most importantly, don’t forget to wear sunscreen, because you WILL get sunburned!

3. Concoct the most delicious beverage recipes.

Floralia is the perfect day to try out that awesome drink recipe you saw online, but never got around to making! Still need ideas? Check out these three great recipes below! But remember, there are no glass containers allowed inside the concert area, and no hard alcohol, either. Save the fancy drinks for when you’re still in your dorm, and sip on beer or wine while at the venue.

4.Eat up and hydrate!

Be sure to take a look at the schedule to see what food is being offered and when. Although you might not feel it, you will get dehydrated very quickly, especially if you are drinking alcohol. Make sure to stop by Cro for free food and water!

5. Take an hour or so to rest in between so you can dance the night away!

Although it will seem almost impossible to break away from all the fun, plan an afternoon nap so you can rest up for the headliners at night. You’ll most likely be going back to your room to change into warmer clothes anyway, so relax for an hour and give your body time to rally. Then, enjoy some more of that delicious party drink you made earlier and get back out on the dance floor!

6. Prepare to recuperate on Sunday.

This is probably one of the most important things that people forget about. Chances are, you’re going to wake up hungover, hungry, and super dehydrated the next day. Plan out some time for self-care. Make sure you have plenty of water in your room, and some Advil.
